The directors of this New York event finally got back to me, and I've confirmed our appearance on Lake Champlain for the Battle of Plattsburgh reenactment, Sept 9 and 10, 2006.....'Bloody 'eck, I 'spose we'll hafta be the Bloody British and take a shellacking, but heck, nobody 'loses' as valiantly as us!!...This event is one of many we are lining out for next year, so let us know of any events in your area...... right now I'm trying to get more information about the Channel Islands Harbor Seafood Festival (http://www.ci-seafest.com/about_seafest.htm0 at the harbor in Oxnard (where our friend gary the Royalist) is going to be docked during this event until the Ojai pirate festival weekend. Friday 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Saturday 12 p.m. - 11 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. It costs 9.00 dollars but we can work on a free admission. Ok, so the date is September 10th. I KNOW it is far in advance, and I KNOW it is during renn season (Deaf Awareness Weekend). So I KNOW that many folks won't be making it. But anywhoo, just throwing it *out there* in case anyone is interested: The Fells Point Development Corporation (non-profit) is hosting a Pirate Festival in Fells Point, Baltimore on September 10th. It starts at noon and festivities run all night. I have been told that the blocks will be closed off, and they will have entertainment in various forms (they have shanty singers, storytellers, comedy acts, etc..) and pirate-esque ships docked for tours. We're asking all hands in the area to help out. The Pyrates of the Coast will be entertaining, we will be auctioning off items and raising money to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. Saturday, September 3rd I don't know too much about it yet, but it will be in Gulfport, Fl ( just outside of St. Pete), a little artist, alternative, community.
