Well mateys it seems the Disney has a cd out now that is like the "soundtrack" of the Pirates of The Caribbean ride. It has sound bites from the ride and some interview stuff with Walt etc.. I've seen it available at Laughing Place.com and I'm sure the parks have it too. But the price I've seen of over $30 makes me wary o'buyin it. Is it REALLY worth that much for 1cd albeit such a kewl ride? Is Disney rakin us again, or is it a wise expenditure? Any o'you mateys have this cd? Let me in on it if'n ye do.

I can't believe ANYONE would go for this! They're selling what's suppost to be Geoffrey's Barbossa hat. 1) there's not as many bulletholes, only one and Barbossa's in the movie had more. 2) IT'S GREY i don't buy it..it's not even like it..i'm shure! Barbossas/Geoffrey's hat was black, i have many daytime pics and it's black as can be. I think it's a sham. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW

Has anybody else seen the video to "Girls Lie Too" (or something like that - I don't watch CMT much at all) - I was surfing through and screeched to a halt when I saw Captain Jack! It's rather a fantasy video by Terri Clark (I think that's her name...) I'd like to know who plays Captain jack in it....

I had a friend visiting today who makes clothes and when i told her i'd love to have a "wench's dress", she said she could help me make it, so i'm wondering around internet looking for a "wench dress pattern" and the first one i find is BINGO. It's just the one i love...that'll look cool for the premiére, with the POTC medallion It was $12.50 including postage by priority mail. 'could do worse.. Wench dress pattern I'll wait a little while making it, i want to loose some weight before i do..it's not going to be anywhere within the next five months anyways..and that's optimistic..isn't it...

:) My son Jaron was "kidnapped" at the Ren Faire in PA today by a Jack Sparrow! Not the best impression in the world, but still kinda cool. But HOW did Capn Sparrow get in the Renaissance?

What is everyone watching this time of year (other than PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN)? I know that once the leaves start changing color here in Tennessee, I jet to the local video store and spend mega bucks to try to scare my socks right off! So far, my favorites have been...in no certain order: IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN! (One of my childhood faves) THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (Guilty pleasure) LEGEND (Another guilty pleasure, another Tim Curry flick) THE OTHERS THE SIXTH SENSE So, who else out there grabs those scary movies around this time of year? Halloween is the best season for spooky movies. I don't like most of those senseless blood and gore …

Given the spotty history of sequel movies, purhaps the poc producers should revamp the script to have all new characters instead of the same old cast as before. Personally I'd find that more interesting, and it gives the writers the freedom to excape the constraints of the same type cast personas. If your doing a poc movie should'nt it be filmed in the caribbean? Being authentic to the local is, I would think, important to carry the atmosphere of the movie. I'm sure lots of money will be spent producing it but is it that wise to reprise esentially the same thing again? you know good pirate vs bad pirate.

I found a movie earlier this evening for 7.49 so I bought it., It is Francis Ford Coppola's version of Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped". Anyone seen it?...., I thought for that price.,O.K. get it., Hard to go wrong with Stevenson. Sure enough it wasnt bad.., pretty good actually.., Brian McCardie and Armand Assante. It'll go right along with the 18'th century collection of movies. Great clothing some really good props a cannon and a small merchant brig. and L O T S of differant locks for your viewing pleasure including several blunderbuss as well !!! HarborMaster

I probably should have searched the archives but for this first but, too late I already hit the new post button. I was in the computer games section of my BX/PX and saw several Pirate themed PC games.... before I take the plunge, does anyone have a game they reccomend? They had Tropico, Port Royale, Pirate Hunter and maybe a few more. All in the $18 range. Suggestions?

Peter and the Starcatchers is a new book written by Dave Berry and Ridly Pearson. It's a book brought on by a question Ridly's daughter had, "How did Peter Pan become Peter Pan?" The two journalists came together and, after many emails and long nights, came up with this book. A funny quote: "AVAST THE MAIN MIZON!" It's actually recomended for kids 10 and up, but there's quite a few bits o' adult humor... I've only read about half of it, and I'm having trouble not laughing out loud on the bus... Or at home... Or in class... *Sakura's edit* Here's the link to the official site: Yarr!

I don't know if any of you who have seen Muppet treasure island noticed, but this guy who plays Flint at the beginning could be someone who our Barbossa character in POTC was based upon. I'm pretty sure he was an influence, the way he walks, even the way he looks..he's so much alike. If you're not convinved, see when flint walks out the cave, how he shakes his head a little while walking, Barbossa does the same. I don't mean when he gives an order to take Liz away with his head but the way he moves it a little from left to right when he walks away, this Flint does it too. Very strong resemblence indeed. This guy is impossible to find on internet though, some mentions…

OK lads and lasses. How about great movie lines from movies that have nothing to do with pirates that would still sound good coming from a pirate. Savvy? For example, I've always loved the line from the Adventures of Robin Hood in which Errol Flynn is addressing the court at feast. The sheriff (I think) accuses Sir Robin... saying, "Sir, you speak treason." Robin's response: "Fluently." Fits a pirate anytime, eh? So what other lines are out there that would sound just as good coming from the mouth of a pirate or wench? -- The Captain
