  1. Haha! I figured it was time to drag this one back from the depths. TO THE PUB! Oh crap there I go, drunk Pubbing again. Hey Patrick you want to join me. (Hic) LOL!
  2. Well once again it seems to me that it boils down too how you have your "Pyrate fun". I can see both sides very well. I've been on both sides. For my first PiP I "aged" 11 costumes for everybody that came down. Simple things really but a little went a long way. It was certainly fun and we didn't look like we just came out of "Ren Faires 'R Us." If all your doing is going from faire to faire then I see the desire for "aging" a kit. It really is a lot of fun. It helps to keep you doing stuff inbetween events. Now on the other side my new kit is (was) new. I spent 3 days in kit at Blackbeard's Fest and believe me it took some damage. Close to a day and half in the rain. Only to dry out later. My coat needed a couple repairs after that event. Both my shirts had nice sweat rings around my neck. Very hard to accomplish artificially and I've tried. I must say I didn't shower or bathe for those 3 days and I didn't get any parasites or lice. I was actually surprised how accustomed I got to my environment. I changed shirts in the middle of the event and boy I'll tell you it felt like a shower. A clean dry shirt was amazing but I'm veering off topic. I will say this though, I understand and agree with both sides. Each has their purpose and place in our realm of pyrates and portrayal of them. (Or in my case there adversarys. ) I guess it's all in how you play. Have fun!
  3. The title pretty much explains itself. Take a look. Many thanks to the Vigilant crewe for a great weekend. (And those from Blackbeard too!)
  4. Oh that would be awesome!! Can't wait to see.
  5. Well after a couple of events I've decided to revisit my tent rig. Here is a pic of the old rig. Now the NEW one. I'm using a peg design that I've seen in many commercially made tents. Inside view. This had enabled me to shorten the length of all the poles. Which is great! Now I can fit things into a smaller vehicle.
  6. Ahoy! And aye it was a pleasure to meet you and play with your crew over the weekend. And yes I have to side with Lily on Saturday's evening meal was great! Thanks again and welcome to the pub.
  7. Ha, and too think I got to hold it, and play with it. Until the Capt'n snatched it from me hands....
  8. Whew!! That was a drive and a half but well worth it. I was so tired yesterday I could only drive for an hour and half. I was falling asleep on the road. Thanks to all who attended. It warms my heart to see everyone. I've missed you all far too much. A big thanks to the Blackbeard crew for letting us play along. The Bone Island, what can I say. It always a blast to hang out with you all. Your new garb is looking great!! Mr. Tignor keep up the good work. To Gentleman Scotty and you wife thank you for stopping by. Those cookies were AMAZING!! If I forget anyone I'm sorry, I'm just so worn out. Until next time.....
  9. --------ATTENTION-------- Camp setup for tomorrow will start at 8am. I should be on site around that time. I will have to take off to pick up Brig and the little one around 9am. But should be there to kick things off. Please let me know if you will be there around that time so I know who to expect. O'Keefe's I will be in Hampton late this afternoon to measure out the site. I'll call you to let you know. See all you there!
  10. Yet again I'm "clapped in irons". I haven't hat the chance to do anything yet. Poor baby was running a low grade fever this morning. Doc thinks it's teething. Try for an update tonight. If not, tomorrow!
  11. Sorry for the delay folks. I've been stuck in Stays hell all day. Going to get an update tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.
  12. Must be why I missed them.
  13. Thanks Dutch. I already see a problem. The trees lining the perimeter. That's going to cause some issues. Lily do you think you guys could measure the trees also? So I know where they are placed? I would like to know how far apart and how far in they sit. This is the proverbial wrench being thrown into the works.
  14. When you can Lily, I'll be getting ready and packing the van for the drive up. So when I stop over at Sterling's I'll be able to lay out stuff better that evening. Capt'n I'll update the layout when I get home this evening. SWEET!!! The Calahan's are going to be there? Now I don't have to worry about getting pictures. Mark G I would double check with Mickey S. on that one. I'm under the impression that you are bringing your Pavilion and a single wedge. Thanks all!
  15. Ok version 6.1 is up! Capt'n tell me where you want to place your wedge. I forgot about it. We've got lots of room, erm, sort of. Hopefully you see this before I go to bed. Hey Dutch, can you tell me if there are any more obstructions that I don't have labeled? I see the light pole and I thought there was a tree in the upper right corner. Let me know thanks!
  16. Ok version 6 is up for review. I know it needs work. Capt'n let me know whose tent the 10'x20' and I'll add it in. Thanks
  17. Great one more tent? Ok, now that I've got CAD program running I need to start to input the dimensions of this stuff and get a real accurate look at what we are up against. For measurements of the space I'm going off of google earth but if we can get something sooner that would be great. O'Keefe if you can get me those measurements Asap on tuesday I should be able to adjust stuff before I get driving. Sorry for my delay I'm 6 hours ahead of most of you. So I'm not seeing the evening posts. Should be back home on Monday.
  18. Well maybe if someone would have gotten off his lazy arse and seen the Manchester coat maybe he could have answered that question. But in my defense it wasn't on display at the time I could have gone to see it. Oh well...
  19. Thanks Pern! I'll be waiting on your measurements. And I just got a copy of CAD. Now I must learn how to use it. Roping us off will be nice.
  20. Well I finially took some time to look through the journal. WHY must I miss all the fun........ Great job Mission. Hope to make it in '09.
