When you find it, tell me.

Ahhhm thank you but I must get over the scars from the last one. Maybe during blackbeards.

Hehe and I thought stays were difficult. Until I tried a mantua. Yikes, yeah I need someone like Cheeky just to stand over my shoulder while I make one and tell me what I'm doing wrong. I do love the look though. Nothing shouts early 1700s to me like a mantua over stays. To me it's what really sets you apart from the "ren faire" corset look. (I'm not saying that's a bad thing at all.) It really is a different look and "sets" you smack in the time period. Ahhhh, I really do like the clothes from this period...

Sounds good to me. We'll see you there for sure.

Hey did you order by the Pound? And was half round or Half oval more PC? I always thought half round was more correct.
-
Sweet! Ordering some...
-
Ah yes thank you for the mild rebuke madame, for you are correct as always.

No Worries Capt'n. I'll update tomorrow.

LoL! Thats pretty much what I'm doing only digitally. I just wish I had CAD. That would make things much easier. Then I could get exact measurements of every tent with ropes and save them as objects for later. Oh I would need to learn CAD though.

Ummmm, I think we are going to rig some canvas up for the Powder and use the wedge as extra storage. Thanks Kate. I will change it on the next version. I'm going to wait on further input before I dive back into the drawing. Besides that gives me extra room and the wedges can pretty much go anywhere.

Well in prep for Blackbeards in June I had to make my little one something to wear. Here is her in it. Been playing in it all afternoon.

OK Version 5 up!

More like 16x16. The shade fly is the same again but there is some overlap. Figure 16x30. Mark So Mark do you have a wall? Or is it a pavilion like Mickey mentioned earlier? Never mind Mark. I found your pictures of your tent. Thanks mate!

Dyeing cloth is the way to go! Love doing that. Opens up so many more possibilities with fabric. Good Show!

Would you object to us buying young Merryweather a sling shot as a belated B-Day gift? I'm sure he could take care of the light in practicing to use it. What do we need one of those for? We gots muskets and pistols and blunderbusses.

VERSION 4 Update check the first post

I don't envy you right now Jack It's a catch 22. I'm thinking of the bushes as an extra barrier from the public. No matter where it goes, there will be some risk. True but people can smoke around a fire. They can't around the powder. So yeah the bushes provide some protection (more of a barrier) from the Powder but someone could still lean over and flick something towards the powder mag. As to your concern Mickey, I think there will be plenty of room on that left side for a number of wedges even a pavilion. Version 4 should be up in a moment.
-
Not at all. Tis why I made this post. Just so you know my reasoning behind the move. I was trying to keep the powder away from the bushes in order to keep the public out of harms way. Ok reworking yet again the drawing. I sense a version 4 on the horizon.

Updated versions. Next to come is the firepit.
-
One more thing. What should we consider as a safe distance from the Powder Mag?
-
Haha nice Mickey! Ok seems like everyone is liking v3. Except for the Powder Mag. Thanks Dutchie for the info. Kate haven't seen the Dim's on Mark's tent. Point me in the right direction or email (or PM) me. Keep a whether eye on the first post. Changes to come.
