Ahoy Everyone, Please be so kind to log on and put your two cents in for Reenactor Fest III. We are being besieged with requests to host a Reenactor Fest out East. After looking at multiple sites, the two that seem most suitable are the Gettysburg area and the Colonial Williamsburg area. Please copy and paste the link below and tell us where YOU would rather see it hosted! http://members.aol.com/soldaten/rf3poll.html Please take the time to click in and vote! Thanks

Just returned from a sib-demo at a museum in eastern NC where several pirate groups were performing sword play & being the rouges that they'd be. Learned of that there will be a pirate camp at the Charleston Maritime Festival this year in the shipyard where the Spirit of SC is. With the Tall Ships coming into port, there should be a good crowd for this event. Link to website: http://www.charlestonmaritimefestival.com/...ertainment.html

Aye, mates, Pyrate Con in April is not the only piratical event coming up in New Orleans. January 12 and 13 marks the reenactment of the Battle of New Orleans. Yer historicalpyratical brethren the Baratarians really won that battle for America, and their present-day descendants will be there again this year, and look to be one of the best-represented American groups in attendance! Please come out and see us! Cannon and musket firing, cooking demos and lectures and much more! Capt. William

Well, I've registered for Queen Charlotte's Birthday Ball at Fort York, in just over a week's time: http://www.claviersbaroques.com/QueenCharl.../CBQCBB2007.htm Okay, so it's post-GAoP, and it's a naval-themed event rather than a piratey one. But there's a RUM tasting! Cheers, Hester

January 20th. Not a reenactment, just an excuse to dress as a pirate (hell, I've even seen a Pittsburgh Pirate there), drink rum, and have fun. Any of you planning on being there?

I suggested that with the amount of cannons we had on board that we should try to take Fort McHenry since we were at that end of the harbour, but Captain Lou wouldn't let us. Even without the option to slit a few throats, a spectacular time was had aboard The Clipper City on a very pyratical New Years Eve. Complete with Drunken Ferrets, The Brigands, familiar faces from The Maryland Renaissance Festival, and a few landlubbers thrown in, we danced, ate, and drank for four hours and great cruise! It may very well become a tradition for us each New Years. Here's the shots I took, many of which will be found in the Winter Issue of The Pyrates Way: http://homepage.mac.com…

A refundable deposit of US$300 is needed by September 15, 2006 to reserve your berth on this fine vessel. It may be a Renaissance Cruise, but I want to pack as many pyrates as possible aboard her!! Lady Janelle and your's truly will be on board, and maybe, just maybe, we can storm the bridge for a bit o' fun! Stateroom prices (per person) are as follows: Inside: US$739 Oceanview: US$869 …

The annual Battle of New Orleans reenactment IS going to happen! January 6, 7, and 8. Although most of the city (and St. Bernard Parish, where the battle took place) is totally devastated and will so remain for a long time: still, the French Quarter is coming back, much of Uptown and Jefferson Parish are booming, and the National Park Service and the battle reenactors are ready to do battle! Come out and root for the home team: especially Lafitte's Baratarians! Capt. William and his Pyrate Queen are on the crew! :) Capt. William

For the past few months, I have tried to get my pirate crew to show up at a local bar for a social night. Since most of the time, this is just myself, I would like to invite anyone interested to come out to a social night on Wednesday nights starting at 10pm at a local bar. A note of caution: Because my crew is mostly comprised of gay men, the bar is a local gay bar, that for some unfortunate reason doesn't get much patronage on Wednesday nights. (On the flip side, there are quite a few heterosexuals (both male and female) that patronize the bar too.). The bar apparently has their balcony open on Wednesday nights, and that will be where the socializing will be (it's quiet…

One o me customers come ta me wit this, this very day and says "dude" (he's the owner of a clothing company on line and he works big trade shows here in the west) he says dude I need you to dress up in your pirate costume and come visit me at the boat show at the end of this month, every body there will think yer part of the entertainment and you'll get no hassles at all adding I'll leave tickets for you at the gate! So I be thinkin! What if all the boat shows all over this world we all went to in character lookin to buy a boat as a pirate? Alright mates, here's your chance for you local scallywags to do something really special down on Hollywood and Highland on Saturday, January 29th at 4pm. Not just ANY Princess but a Purple Princess. She will be arriving in Hollywood by horse drawn carrage and what she needs is... loyal subjects. Make A Wiah has asked for as many Pirates as we can muster to come and spend the early evening with her.
