Aye, I'm hopeful of importuning the irrepressible and erudite Captain Barquentine to share the verbage of his many travels and tautomological skills with those of us who be not so gifted by nature in expressing ourselves in a manner so abundantly scurrilious.....but e' seems pre-occupied lately with press'n health matters (an' we all know nothin be more important than yer health after plunder......rum..........ale................companionship...........anyway..... .....). So I'm ask'n ye mates to put forth yer favored Pyratical imprecations....and if ye have none.....then stir yer turgid rum saturated pox lesioned grey matter incite yer ______.......neurons... …

The Color of Courage One day, a pirate ship is cruising the seas off the coast of England when the scout yells, “There's an English ship on the horizon.” Immediately, the crew looks to the captain, who valiantly says, “Bring me my red shirt.” The captain dons the shirt and the British ship commences the attack. The captain and his men fight valiantly and crush the British attackers. A few days later, the scout yells, “There are three English ships on the horizon.” Immediately, the crew looks to the captain, and again he says (in his most manly voice), “Bring me my red shirt.” Again, the English ships begin their attack and the pirates fight off all three of the attack…

Avast ye maties, but I've spent a few pieces at a mighty website known as Teach's Hole in NC. The place, dedicated to one Blackbeard himself, sounds like a great Pirate shop and me thinks there be more there like an exhibit for the notorious one. Has any of ye dropped anchor at Teach's Hole? How mighty be the place?

A little while back I was informed of the need for someone I know to place a kitty in a new home. At first, I had to say no, for a variety of reasons, the least of which being certain people's necessity to have two black Persians if we had anything at all. Feh. However, some changes in the winds for the Penny have made it to where I can hopefully open my home to this wee beastie in the not-too-far future. YAY! From what I understand, said feline is an orange tabby, and has been addressed in the male gender. I need to talk to the person who told me about him before I can get any extra info. It's been over three years since I've had a kitty, and this little critter c…

Yes. Lucky has been a quiet little pirate of late. I won't go into the messy details o' me life at the moment. Some of ye know what's been goin' on. Th' rest o' ye..suffice t' say it's been a bit rough on th' edges for the Penny o' late. As a result, I've been sort o' lurked back from the cyber-haunt. Jus' been spendin' me time away from the keyboard an' all that. How long it'll last, I cannae say for sure. M'hopin' that it won' be too long, because I like ye all an' all that. Th' good news is that it's not all me personal life that be suckin' me in. I've also been at me sewin' again..which explains why there be all the new piles o' cut fabric around in me corner.…

There was once a song about "When You Get Your Picture on the Cover of the Rolling Stone" (magazine; and if you never heard the song, you haven't missed much)... but if getting yer pitcher on covers is a way of measurin' success, I believe pirates and seafarin' reenactors must be moving up in the world. The most recent Museum Replicas catalog cover features a trio of pirates; and there's a drawing of a 3-master superimposed on an old nautical map, on the most recent Jas Townsend & Son catalog. Capt.
