Angus, Unless I'm wide o' me mark, the bumper sticker run-off contest is over, "If you can read this, prepare to be boarded" was the winner, and we were going to get bumper stickers prepared. (?) Any news? Capt. William

How about a section with all member's birthdates listed in date (not year LOL) order? This way everyone can be wished a happy one on their special day! What do all you pirates think of this idea?

Yes. Lucky has been a quiet little pirate of late. I won't go into the messy details o' me life at the moment. Some of ye know what's been goin' on. Th' rest o' ye..suffice t' say it's been a bit rough on th' edges for the Penny o' late. As a result, I've been sort o' lurked back from the cyber-haunt. Jus' been spendin' me time away from the keyboard an' all that. How long it'll last, I cannae say for sure. M'hopin' that it won' be too long, because I like ye all an' all that. Th' good news is that it's not all me personal life that be suckin' me in. I've also been at me sewin' again..which explains why there be all the new piles o' cut fabric around in me corner.…

There was once a song about "When You Get Your Picture on the Cover of the Rolling Stone" (magazine; and if you never heard the song, you haven't missed much)... but if getting yer pitcher on covers is a way of measurin' success, I believe pirates and seafarin' reenactors must be moving up in the world. The most recent Museum Replicas catalog cover features a trio of pirates; and there's a drawing of a 3-master superimposed on an old nautical map, on the most recent Jas Townsend & Son catalog. Capt. William

Do you know how the Spanish viewed the pirates who inhabited the West Indies during the 18th century, particually around 1717 after the proclamtion by the King of Great Brtitian that stated the surrender of said pyrates? I have to finish my essay but I cant figure out how the spanis viewed the pyrates

Arrr... I had me a few nautical dreams in me time, and I was wondering if ye had some too... Fer starters, and probably the root of the fixation: My friends and I have long aimed at putting our meagre funds towards buying a chunk of the New Zealand coastline, building a galleon and living the lives of the SeaDogs... Ooooooooh yeah, never far from my mind. And this must have been the cause of my dream: I dreamt that I was on a jetty, stratching out from a swamp into a clear sea. The jetty was connected to some kind of small building. There was a little kid hanging around, and he was asking me if I was a pirate. "Indeed , I be." rang the appropriate response, and th…

I decided to switch it around this year, and not dress like the wench I am. Doesn't really feel like a costume anymore. Anyway- I have a long silver dress with a high slit up one side (calm down, lads!), and I've made a logo to sew onto the other side- Says "Coors Light". I figure that something five feet, eight inches high, that is both girl and beer, should be a vision of loveliness to all involved. Coors is far from me favourite, but it comes in a silver can. Also- a necklace of poptops around me neck! Yer libation-like lass, Saucy Kate
