Greetings all of me Brothers and Sisters of fortune. Just a bit of an update with me and me recent trip. As ye all know, gentlemen are not made to fly in these silvery vessels miles above the sky. Through many prayers and broken armrests from me grip of white knuckles, I survived the high host brethren of Davy Jones. It was a trip to Gettysberg, Pennsylvania. When I arrived, I sought out the local taverns for a good grog. Me first visit was to a wee little Irish place where it was flooded with men in gray frocks calling themselves "Rebs." But ah, a Piratess graced her presence amongst the crowd. The Piratess was the infamous Irish rogue known to me as "Silkie Sm…

I have been looking at all your descriptions as I see new names in the fourm. Now I have seen so many beautiful women that I may loose my heart to each and every one of you. So now the question is did you meet your significant other before or after or at a Pirate festival? Or is what happens at sea stay at sea?

You American Pirates are so lucky. Here across the Atlantic in the cold Northern Sea there are no pirate festivals, no pirate games, a few shanties but more suited for the elderly, the pirate clothing is crap (only fancy dress), no nice pirate ships (only in musea). If we do have the time and money we definitely have to come to California or Florida sometimes!

Down in the hull, lurking as others keep their distance. A Man like no other. A dirk in one hand and a basket hilted cutlass at his side. A tankard in his other. Dressed in a kilt and a bonnet, but don't DARE call it a skirt (or ye be DEAD)! He leads the Thistle, a ship of dubious distintion. His loyalties to 2, MacBubba, MacNeil, and Wallace. Let none challenge them. A Bat, his pet. A skunk picked up on land, now his sporran, it crossed him once. It is . . . Tartan John Wages The Kilted Pyraete of the Caledonian Carolinas!

Wishin' not t' burden Tess's thread any longer, with a tale being spun by False Ransom and Jacky Tar, I have started a story tellin' thread here. This thread is not intended t' be as accurate as 'The Watch Dog', or 'Port Royal, Jamaica'. This thread will have romance and adventure; so, blood thirsty pirates may want t' post elsewhere. The story begins with the crew of the Relentless takin' on provisions and stores, and the unexpected arrival of an old shipmate seekin' t' join the ship's company.

Avast there, Mates! Just takin' a moment to hail the other scabrous dogs what be sailin' these waters on the account. Me name be Jack, Blackjack ta be wholly accurate. Said by some ta be a lie'n, backstabbin', nere-do-well what would steal candy from a babe. Lies, say I! The child dropped the candy fair and square, savy? So here be to all ye who stand a'fore the mast. Take what ye can, give nothing back. Blackjack Roberts

Well, it wasn't for lack of effort, but all my attempts at self destruction failed. No matter where I went, how hard I tried, pissed off as many enemies as I could... still, here I remain. In every port I am known, the old crews wouldn't let me give up the ghost, and have me convinced to carry on. So... with no further blatherin, rums all around fer any who's drinkin. Capt. Bo is buyin. DRINK UP YOU SCUM! YEEEEEE-HAAAAAW!

Greetings and a hoist of the tankard to all. Capt. Talbot here...and at least in this incarnation Capt. Talbot has much more rogueish blood than you may think. My home port is Boston, where my most well-known vessel makes port. But I've been known to commandeer others from time to time if it looks to be profitable. I work as a player on the stage and screen, basically making my living wearing tall boots and a sword. A few years ago that began to include roaming the ports of New England as a privateer in the service of the rebellion against the King. And like any good privateer, I'm looking to do more so long as there's profit to be had. This round is on me - here's to …

This is a must see for all you MythBuster fans Episode 71: Pirate Special Arggghhh, me hearties! Jamie and Adam plundered the seven seas in search of pirate parables and maritime myths. The result? This 2-hour spectacular episode! And, with four stories of hijinks on the high seas the action is thick and fast. Playing with more firearms, the guys try to figure out how deadly cannonballs really are versus the splinters sprayed from a mighty broadside blast. Kari, Grant and Tory on the port side decode the mysteries of the ol' pirate eye patch: why would a pirate wear a patch over a perfectly good eye? And if that isn't enough, the gang tops of the show with rum, knives a…
