just an update on my insurance. I thought the HR team at work thought the treatments were covered after the first $500. Someone at work had an MRI and they got $74 towards it from the insurance. At that rate, my $30,000 treatment will pay me around $1000. anyone want to adopt a single white dude?

restraints

careful on the clothes and sundry, LadyB! gas is over $4 in Chicago and around Milwaukee. So unless we make our own gas, we need to watch what we bring. Maybe one coat and hat and not both. I hate to be the curmegeon, but the car was very packed last year. I hate paying so much for so little. Its more expensive then MILK and not renewable. :)

no side trips this time, LadyB, I got my tee last time. Poupon U (the mustard museum shirt), and just be ready to hit the road when I drive down.. then drive up and over! I wish there was a better route after picking you up... oh well!! only a few more days to PW3!! Looking forward to seeing all of you and having some piratey fun. :)

thanks for the link, Rumba! I like what they did with the fimo and foam, but they have the same saying. As long as they are a bit different, we can use it too. I found out you can print on tissue paper from your PC, and then glue it to wood. It looks like the wood is painted, but nice and neat. That may be an option for the signs, like Lady Alyx suggested. I appreciate your support in my battle, Rumba. The surgery and radiation is mostly on go mode, with me just showing up on time. I"m mostly worried about insurance and FMLA, and PTO. My kids are pretty busy, so its mainly just me handling all the stuff. My insurance changed May 31, so its $500 deductible on what is covered. I am VERY sure the company is not happy with my health issues. Bottom line is that cancer treatment is expensive. Ironically, I just came back to work from another surgery, and me not having any before 2003! I am pretty healthy tho, so I'm hoping for the best. thanks again, and keep your fingers crossed. :) and get a mammogram!

Thank you Jill and Ransom, I"ll be at Port Washington, possibly the last faire I can do this season. I'm going to try and get back to work in the first week, so I dont have to use much PTO. I also am trying to decide whether to do the fast way radiation and have 2 radiation treatments in one day for a week, or spread it out over 6 weeks, with no breaks but can go to work before... I also have to have a re-check about 2 weeks after surgery, to make sure all the cells are gone. If there are still some, then another go round in outpatient. The part I hate to hear about is that I will have to take estrogen suppressors for the next.. 4? years. I get to become Fred, the very white(no suntanning) guy. As Bette Davis said, its going to be a bumpy night! Ransome, you are an awesome person, and one I am glad to have met. I understand why you cant make PW, but I wish you could. I would buy you a large cold ale, and we could watch the sun go down, and know that there will be another one next year for us.. here's looking at you, kid! Lady Alyx, I like the idea you have for the sign and ribbons. I"m not sure how to do it, but it sounds great! How about little popsicle sticks in a cross bones shape?

had the results from the MRI today, after 3 phone calls.. I only need surgery on the left, the right is free of any other spots that would need a biopsy. That means surgery as planned on June 12th, out patient.

I'm not sure how to add the logo to the ends of the ribbons, Lady Alyx. but I do like the ribbon and if you buy enough, its not bad-priced.

Zephaniah, I 'LOVE' your pirate lass! That is wonderful for tees, especially womens' tees, and that you did it for breast cancer research makes it that much more wonderful!! I'm honored that you did something from the 'heart'. Its actually close to something I thought of but could never do myself. I'm not talented like you are. :) as far as I'm concerned you are a 'real' artist. I would also like to have a simple logo that can be used by men and mundanes, kids, and other types of clothes like hats, sweats, bags. I"m hoping that we can have a few designs to pick from. The breast cancer site has about 300+ logos availible, mostly simple ones, but NONE for pirates. I like the idea of the Save My Guns, Save the Treasured Chests, Save the Boobies (has been taken, dang), I love the ribbons, tho! Zeph, can you do a drawing of the map/chest idea? No one said we have to decide on just ONE design.

gives Sterling a cuppa tea and a handful of aspirin.. sorry, Capt, been there, done that, won't have to do it again and glad. I feel a bit achy from the bruises left by the biopsys and MRI.. nicely yellow and purple, but taken care of with some mega-aleve. Not looking forward to work but I have it better then a town about 20 miles from here.. blown off the map from a tornado (Parkersburg). Most of the town is splinters and the high school is gone too.. thank the gods it was on a weekend. No damage here, but I drove 80 mph last night in lightning from LadyB's house to mine. I gave her my equine tapestry present last night.. I think she liked it. :)

I took off the tee shirt ideas until I can copyright them.. i had some bumper sticker ideas taken and then used by someone who has a magazine who then made money off them and never give of us a pence... 'save our treasured chests' sounds wicked tho!! have some other ideas rattlin around.

so they did use our ideas and made money from them.. interesting. Its kind of disappointing when someone will take an idea and then re-use them to make money for themselves.
