Lady B, I'm sorry you are in such a spot, I know all too well about no vehicle nor money.. its too bad you quit your job, even if they were asking you to come in for only a few hours a day. At least that income would help keep the wolf away. since you can type well, make sure you have that on your resume too.. and I know you do some graphics on the PC also. I know you dont like being on the telephones but its desperate times. Good luck, mon ami'!

I have 2 options that run side by side.. my work insurance is the one draggin its feet, saying that the pathology report is missing that shows the nodes werent involved. The Hospital Radiation clinic that is arguing with them that thjis procedure is needed hasnt' had this much trouble in the 6 years that Mammosite has been offered. If I get mammosite, I have the chance at full breast radiation later on, but if I have the full breast now (and the most common procedure) I have to have a mastectomy if the cancer comes back. This insurance has a $1000 out of pocket expense I have to cover first. on the other side is my COBRA insurance that will cost the earth but worth it for the few months I need it. It will pick up what ever the work insurance doesnt. The biggest problem is the $400 per month it costs, with at least 2 months gone and a 3rd (August) on the way. I'll send in my Cobra papers tomorrow with a check and see what they say about coverage. The thing that pisses me off the most is that HR doesnt know squat about what is going on.. they looked over the papers and didnt know that my work insurance would ask for the 10 day review. They are clueless.. I'll be calling the contact for the insurance also tomorrow and see what they say. I'll be thinking of my two feisty friends.. Ransom and Iron Bess. SeaHawk, good luck with your heart problems.. try webmd and see if that helps with some answers. Make sure some herbal thing isnt a possible cause.

still angry about my work insurance.. I had my radiation cancelled by my doctors because I couldnt secure the insurance for it. I dont blame them since it costs $50,000 but I WISH ta all hell they had told me this could happen the 3-4 times I called them in the week before. Seriously, I'm thinking of calling a lawyer.

Capt Jack, if you happen to know a grand gent by the name of A Owen, a landsknecht from OK, tell him hello from me! I'm putting together a myspace and a website for the buttons, but I'm not sure if RFP is selling them for $10 or $15.. I'll have to ask. and for an update. I had my extra work hours in (11 in one day) and my hair cut (lost 7 inches) and the cat sitter ready and even the lawn done for my radition.. 30 minutes before I left for the treatment, my insurance decided that the procedure might be iffy and put in place a 10 day review. I have to wait up to 10 days to see if they will cover it or I have to have an all over radiation that will be my last shot at treating the cancer.. The other insurance that is $400 per month, my ex never got the divorce decree to them, so they denied the treatment until they get a read-able decree, and then maybe ok it.. I'm begining to hate insurances when they mess with people.

you're marooned? you got colored Red and Blue?? (old bugs cartoon flashback) I"m tired and frustrated and stressed beyond words.. I had to leave work on Thursday for a little while and just... as a pirate, I would keel-haul all of them bean counters in my work insurance.

I've had a big setback this week on my cancer treatment. Here is a brief comment about my last week: I have work insurance called E, and that started June1. I can buy COBRA from my exes insurance but it has to be by July30 and costs $400/ month..( continues of my exes' old insurance) but will cover most things. I made about 20 calls to the insurances and work last Thursday. And the doctors cancelled my radiation 30 minutes before I was supposed have it.. and now I'm not sure when things will continue. thanks for the good thoughts!

thanks for the credit of who wrote the article.. I thought it was pretty accurate about the situation in Iowa. Don't forget we lost a whole town to an EF5 tornado just a few weeks before the floods, too.

yes I would like to see some articles, both on re-enactors and more of the almost historical pirates.. if you disregard the non-historical pirates, you would lose a large contingent of followers. I might be interested in one day being more accurate in my portrayal, and would like to see an article on how to change small things so they are more on the dot. The article can be done in a friendly manner, with a bit of laugh for both sides. And even those who do portray the historical pirate can perhaps learn something.

I get my mammosite (balloon shaped tube) put in on the 3rd, and then radiation starts on July7- July 12.. 2x daily.. freedom from cancer for me! I won't be able to get it wet, so bathing will be a challenge, and no ruff movments like scrubbing.

RFP, if you need pink ribbon for the buttons, let me know. I have a few extra spools here. There are quite a few choices, but grosgraine will be the most sturdy. . I very much like what Lady Alyx had with the skull ribbons, but I think they can be best used at faire for a small amount of donation, and leave most of the button sales to online.. but then again they would do well at fest! I'll have to see how RFP does.. wish he lived closer.

there ye go... getting me all hot an bothered with the words.. 'sweat' and 'shop'. and just as long as I don't find a tag on your parts 'inspected by Mr Woo' or a warning on your privates "small parts could prove a choking hazard"

Renfairepirate.. its awesome!! its about the same but slightly different. I'm going to start a site up for them on myspace I think.. could you handle making quite a few, especially if the pirates will help sell them by passing on the word? still looking at the tees. I think a different design for those would be better but would also like to hear some ideas..

I'll go to the radiation clinic tomorrow for a consult to make sure I understand what will happen, and answer questions. I might join a clinical study for the drugs I will take later up here. If all goes as planned, I'll have the tube put in July 3 at 11 am here, and then go down for a cat scan to make sure its ok after. Then July 7th I'll start my radiation. That means I will have a small tube in my left side that I CANNOT get wet for 10 days. Be careful in the tub, wash my hair in the sink or got out to a salon.. and no hot tub/ swimming. There goes my plans for the pool on the weekend trip to Eastern Iowa! this means its only 5 days for radiation instead of 6 weeks.
