the beads look awesome, mate!! Nice knife too, and the Thor's Hammer is pretty sweet! those beads would be nice if you flattened em out a bit and then had a loop for a necklace.. you could add a circle around it for names or mottos, maybe stones, but not as involved as your 'coin'.. just an idea rattlin around. I would be interested in those for me crew with the ships' logo.

just wondering about something.. can you have just a water/juice mix, like a limeade, and then just add the rum to your own cup? Would that make the rest of whatever you put in there taste like lime? some shows I do, ya cant have alcohol while working.. and that barrel is just too pretty to put away.

I love the pics!!! you look like a grand group and full of love and healing. I'm just getting the sutures out this week. I missed the company pics, so I don't have one. I had a friend with me, but I dont have a caregiver. Its mostly just me and all 2000 of the best friends a girl pirate could have. I think I'll need a website for this. and I"m damn happy to need one. That way we can keep better eye on things and it can be accesed by non-pirates. I"ll have to see what I can come up with.. for pirates AND rennies.

That could work! I did the relay for life this year, and got a bit choaked up when I went around the track for the survivors. When I told them I still had the sutures and it was found at stage 0, I got a good clap. Made me tear up a bit. I hope beyond hope that they find a cure in my lifetime.. I have 2 daughters that might have it. I would spare anything for them NOT to have it. if you have 10 women friends.. chances are that 1 will have breast cancer... I"m looking into getting tees made, and renfairepirate can do those also. I"m also going to check with a company here that can do em.. has anyone sold tees that can tell me what to order and what to avoid for a larger order?

Jacky, renfairepirate is doing an awesome job and I have him to thank him for the incredible job on the buttons. I hope to get a few bought and then sell them at the renfaires and online. I'll see about getting permission from the ACS for this, AND just did the RELAY for LIFE, and it was sad and inspiring.. so many who died from cancer, but also so many who still fight the Beast.. I know one lass who had a small lump removed after demanding a second opinion, then had a double mastecomy after they didnt get enough the first time. Then Chemo 2x.. makes me want to shoot someone and hope they found it all on me. anyway, I'll try to take my desktop PC with me when I go for treatments to keep up to date. If not, I'll try to log in once in a while to let you know.. and Mary, you are a delight and a classic, like Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.. your smiling face makes everyone smile. I hope you feel better soon!

I think the midwest pissed off Mother Nature something bad.. I was down to see Lady B but she's not sure if her sister will keep her house or not.. I just wanted to pop in before bedtime. I went to work today and it was a bit rough and tiring, but I did pretty good. (tough pirate lass!) The swelling is down and I'm still very bruised but I'm getting around ok. I"ll be doing the relay for life this weekend, and I might add that the Fools Gold pirates got donations of $125 at Port Washington in one day. I'm very impressed and inspired by this, since the leading contributer at my work only got $250 total and she had a month. WAY TO GO FOOLS GOLD PIRATES!! and thank you, Port Wash, for letting me take donations at the tent. 1 in 8 women in Iowa will have breast cancer this year. I have a dream that there will be a 100% cure in my lifetime. I can have the donations stay here from the donations, to help with mammograms, tests, hotel rooms, and much more for Breast Cancer patients. I'm going to start the Fools Gold team, that will make the ribbons and beads and help sell the buttons renfairepirate is making.. I also wanted to thank all of you for the good thoughts.. they really really did help. I'll be on in a few days..

I'm not tan, its RUST! :) I'm not sure I'll try to get down there today. It still looks like rain but I'll keep an eye on the weather. Its at least a week before they get to the roads and bridges tween Iowa City and myself. I shudder to think about all the topsoil and animals being lost to the storms. At one time in 1999, the last big flood thru here, the sea fish were dying because so much of our good dirt was being washed into the LA delta. I'll have to see if I can find a current pic... thank you, Rumba! I had many compliments on my pin, and it was right over my heart.
