  1. I have your birthday thingy, but I really really like it.. can I keep it? :)
  2. sunny today but windy and cold all last weekend..
  3. Why the Lasses of course... The Lads really know the way to a Lasses heart. Or at least through their clothing.... wrong! the lads and lasses sing alike, so we all have to buy the band a drink... works for me. Drunk men in kilts.
  4. i hope to be there with bells on, if you can help out. There were 2000 articles given out last year, and a few of us aren't enough to get them all done.. a helping hand would be appreciated greatly! and if you send a few good thoughts my way Wed, that would be also be appreciated.
  5. of course it is..... but we are still friendly folk, even as we still you blind. :) diplomacy is the art of telling someone to go to hell so charmingly, that they look forward to the trip.
  6. come and have a drink on me, Lady B has another trip around the sun under her belt, on Friday the 9th. have a rum or whiskey, brew or two to celebrate the anniversary of her natal day. Happy Berthday, LadyB and many more!
  7. much warmer today. Over the weekend it was so cold I found my finger-less gloves and wore then while pirating.. found out I could get some coals in the skillet with the lid half off and make a short of bedwarmer. It was about 30 with winds of 30mph and my tent was wonky. No big fires for warming, they were afraid of sparks. still.. survived that and now its about 65. sigh..!
  8. Saturdays and Sundays, September 15th - 30th, 2007 Gates open 10am - 6pm each day http://www.stlpiratefest.com/index2.shtml I know a few peeps who will be there, not sure I have time or dubloons to go but would like to.. I might be able to catch a wave there.
  9. I"d like a cuppa Jameson's, RAY, and put it on the fellow in the Jack hat's tab. looks good, he does. Almost makes me want to say.. savvy? :) welcome Jants, and have a grand time here. Best pirates around!
  10. LadyB, I'm ok for work now, and carrying around a 40 pound tent didnt hurt me this weekend. I had some help but for the most part I put it up twice at the faire and twice at home to dry it out. My shoulder twinges but mostly ok. After all, I go back to work on Monday.. you were off with the Celtic clan awhile but I was glad the weather got better and the sun was out! Enough with the 30 mph winds and 30 degrees at night.
  11. I was thinking about this.. tell them you were doing your part to keep the US green and not use as much fossil fuel by cutting the grass less.. that anything else is UN-American, and that you are surprised no one else thought of it.. it might help lower the cost of gas for cars if we ALL let our grass grow to 5-6 inches. :)
  12. busier then a one legged pirate at a jig contest.. have to get insurance for health and home and car, see lawyers today, get to bank, get to staples, see about getting storage filled, get webpage set up, call blockade runner to see if they will fix my tent poles, get my stuff ready for work next week, remember to eat and take vitamins (still 4 more weeks to recuperate fully) and try to get house cleaned and painted.. and fall over dead. :)
  13. Happy Happy berthday to ya, Patrick! and many more to ya, and may all of them be filled with rum.. kiss and hug.
  14. catch breath hell!! every other song is about whiskey, and they drink it during it. they even bet on a contest. If the women sing louder, then they get a drink from the men, and vice versa.. if its a tie, then they have to buy a drink fer the band. Guess who wins the Jamesons?
  15. well, its the day after using my tent and I'm disappointed in it. The center ridge pole was 1.5 feet too short and the uprights seemed too long. The pins didnt go thru the tent top and kept sliding around til one broke off. I'm contacting the company and see what they will do to make it good. Callenish said the non-grommeted top is more weather-tight and period, but it made for a long day. I'd like to have it look more period, Callenish, but I didn't like having to watch it, but thank you for your advice. On top of things as usual. :) There were no ropes to keep it up and the stakes came out every once in a while. I'll contact them tonight when I have more measurements.
  16. Coastie, COME HOME to the lower 48!! I'll let you camp in my backyard and all the hot showers you need.
  17. Heeyyyy is that a "fat joke"?? you can say that with all the metal legos you have in your poor abused body?? more like I can see you with the drum or something, 'heavy'. Hello Celtic Warrior! welcome to the pyracy pub and all its evils and goodness.. you can decide which is which. if you like celtic rock, have a go at Wylde Nept, my fav band. They are alittle local band but have a devoted (can you say stalker) following.
  18. indeed! and a big cheer from me also. I don't suppose someone kicked his behind as they walked by? I have pointy boots and they hurt. :)
  19. glad to hear you can take of it quickly, Gray Dog. I re-posted it with a link in the piratecon thread, just in case you weren't the only one taken. I did mention it was NOT related to piratecon itself. I'm having a problem with a gym who won't refund money taken by mistake from my account. However, I will prevail. :) About the drugs and the drink; some people just don't deserve to breathe. Is it too late to have pirate justice done? ps, I'm updating our site for foolsgoldpirates.com and added pirates magazine to our friends section. Anyone else who has a site for merchandise or a crew can email me to be added also.
  20. Hey Doc, you know I love Guinness, especially after I found out its less carbs and calories than regular beer, but I had to stop at cake and a lettuce salad. It was just too bitter with either of them. a kiss, on the other hand, is great with Guinness.
