I thought I saw that the Holiday Inn WAS a sponsor.. maybe my mistake. It makes me mad as hell that the hotels won't help out atall.. I guess all we can do is take our business else where for food and drink. I do have ta say, they did give me a discount for the room, but that was the corp website and NOT the local clerk. They had nothin'. Dean, will there be a gallery of pics again? and I was wondering if there could be a list of ships crews on the site.. give a little love back, so ta speak.. maybe a links site or harbor listing or something. I do see a LOT of pics and slideshows if you google the name. People love ya! Cheers!

at 4:30 or so this morning, a small earthquake, around 5.2, was felt in West Salem, IL. It was felt in Il, KY, IA, and other places. Evidently too many pirates left for Piratecon and the earth gods were mythed. (sp) No deaths so far, just some building damages. It was felt pretty hard in KY, and bridges are being checked for cracks. just an update.. I guess so many pirates leaving IL was bad. I decided to bite the bullet and get the flipping huge tent and buy the poles already spliced from them.. on the reccommendation of Rats, I bought my tent from Blockade runner. 12x11x7 and all poles with some of the shipping for $550. I have to get other ropes cause I hate sisal and prefer un-manilla. They will try to get it to me by May 3.. I'm so excited 'and Bo.. thank you for your help! I will still need uprights but I can get those I think. You have been awesome.

thank yu, Matsalem, but those pics make me want to cry. .my best and first and last vacation in a long time.. and the waters weren't aqua then but a true deeper green from the air... it was like farm land only magical. thank you, my friend.. for a while I was there again..

Better.. having a grapefruit juice and capt.. I guess that makes it a sour pirate? tired tho.. I raked the yard and the wind blew all day. Rake the leaves.. watch them blow back.. rake the leaves... damn them all to the neighbors yard.. watch them blow back into my flower garden. :) feeling groovy tho.

where in Long Island Sound are you? I had the great fortune to sail on the University of CT research ship there.. was a treat that still makes me smile. Twas a grand bunch of folk.. I'll have a pirate's blush, Ray.. heavy on the blush. (cranberry and rum) and better yet, Capt Rhedd.. if you can add some to your profile, that way we know a little bit more about you!

I love the stories of who lived and what they did after. I thought it an interesting idea that if you go see the Titanic exhibit, you get to take a name from the passenger list but you dont know til the end if your person lived or died.. and one of my favorite shipwrecks, the Chicago Eastland. It had trouble from the start about listing to the side. It was over full and then just tipped over. 850 people died next to the docks.

I remember Key West being somewhat like that, but it was more Jade Green. I bought a small emerald ring for just that reason.. to remind me of a winter's day in the 90's. windy and warmer here. I had my porch door broken off the hinges when the wind took it.. snapped the hinges right at the frame. I'm glad I'm not hang-gliding. ---------------------------->

hugs Snow, gives her a cookie and blows her a kiss.. that we did! and as much as I really like you, every once in a while I would like to cuddle something male and whiskery. :) on the other hand, I had a great time chatting. Someday... we will meet. Christine.. I am a believer in trying to get away from drugs if at all possible. You can try peppermint oil on your wrists and eating peppermints to settle your nerves. Bio-feed back can help too. I have 3 co-workers who take anti-anxiety drugs and it seems like they always have trouble with them.. getting tired, then being hopped up, not taking them on time.. not worth THAT hassle.
