I was so thrilled to find Pirate themed Pens at the 99 cents store this weekend. I ended up buying 6 for friends and family. They are really cool...check out your local 99cents store and hit up the Stationary section...pens, pencils, notebooks etc. I also saw ruled notebooks that had skulls and crossbones on them as well.

Sorry I missed the event folks, looks like it was well pyrated! Next year will try to catch it. Who was the last to leave the tavern...?

Geezus, I feel like such a dolt, this is the third year in a row that I missed hooking up with Pyracy folk! Next time I will open my mouth and chime out looking for Pyracy crew! On Saturday there were no cannons...due to the fireboys I gather...don't blame them...but on Sunday did they have cannons?

If this event starts at five does it continue later into the evening with Pirates at the club? I get off at 6:00 and also coming from El Segundo like MadL.

Okay okay...I saw an encampment that had that logo on a "gate" and a few folks there behind it at tables a chattin',,,,geezus I should have just asked. I was wearing my coin bra and choli and my pirate tribal belt...I was almost going to bring my new little doumbek drum. I did see a gal with full regalia on....and there were a few pirates drummin'.

Okay...we were heading over to the Pirate Faire on Sat afternoon around 5:30 and ran into the road block by the Fireboys....we asked how to get there and after a couple of scrambled words, tried...we went to Second and then Hammer and then we took a left somewhere and after finding our way through developments and old dairies and Chino Prison...we almost gave up and there was the Faire... I looked around for some sign that said that name for the Alliance and not find it..we probably walked past all of you and did not know it. Next time I will get better directions where everyone is going to hang out from the Pub!!!!!!!! Would have been nice to find some of you!

Hmmm on their line up they had it...but probably they did a copy and paste from last year. Did not expect anyone to dress up for this event, just a looksie...as I mentioned...I am mostly going to check out the Lego (roman soldiers) only event I can find them close to South Bay. I forwarded that website to my g/f whose heritage is Lithuanian ....thanks...cool!

Old Fort McArthur webpage Brethren of the Coast will be there...plus many other re enactors......hopefully this year I can catch this event....(I gotta see those Roman Soldiers.....) Quite unusual seeing the Romans and the Pirates together....but looks like they had good fun....Pics from 2007
