  1. Madl if you look at the link you can see the creator and his name, it is NOT the following for Rocky Horror Picture Show Written by Stage play: Richard O'Brien Screenplay: Richard O'Brien Jim Sharman
  2. just found this cute remix using flapjack and a kooky pirate song...... You Tube Flapjack and the Pirates that don't do anything
  3. I know someone mentioned this cartoon on another thread with many follow up responses. I thought I would start a topic header here for this crazy cartoon, that the creator states is not pirates but sailors but includes pirates. It is such a fun and crazy cartoon. Flapjack Creator
  4. A stencil design would be quick and easy. Have you heard of velvet burn-out that technique is kinda cool. how to page 24
  5. hmmmm scarves or pyrate sash's that double as scarves?
  6. funny I was looking for something completely different and stumbled upon this, which I guess is the same that you folks have been also mentioning.. Steampunk Airship Pirates
  7. Scupper, Your last post, has trully brought tears to my eyes. I wonder if we could still do something for him, such as a handmade book like Patrick and the others have done with stories and artwork. A book with stories, pictures, photographs of pyrates, pyrate events and ships, dreams and wishes of pyrates. At least he could have it with him and he could think about the pyrates that are here thinking and rooting for him? We just could not dilly dally with it and would have to get it done for him in the utmost quickest fashion. But I think we could do it. What do you folks think?
  8. Hi Patrick, I appreciate the length of your response and your hearty effort for again dealing with the dust. I read a log of blogs from previous folks and all remarked upon the dust, and crazy enough, all remarked upon how much they missed the dust later. I guess it is trully a lifetime experience. I would love to do it, but that would be a lot of planning, and b/f does not seem up to this type of rough adventure. But still it is something I may want to do in the future, with enough planning. I would look into renting a van conversion or RV, due to I would like to at least strip off some dust some time with a quickie shower. It appears they have many mutant cars..I wonder if a mutant pyrate ship car could be rigged?
  9. Hi Patrick, I have heard about Burning Man for a long time. I read their pages and lot's of warnings and do not do this and do not do that, and you can't bring this or that...whew! I have seen how the dust is everywhere. I see people take RV's and van conversions...would that be an option...plus I was so surprised at the price tag...$250.00...wow...for a do it yourself adventure pretty much. It still seems a once in a lifetime (or for some people go again and again) event. People do invent and construct the most fantastic things. I believe a fantastic Pyrate Airship would be wonderous. Stardust movie comes to mind
  10. Scupper, I am sorry I just found this post as well. How did it go at Christmas. Did you post a pic of you and yer new pyrate? How is the young captain?
  11. I hope the History or Discovery Channel can cover the wreck site treasures being brought up!

  19. I was a faithful watcher as well, until they pulled it and tried to watch it online but the feed constantly crapped out...so I never saw the conclusion. Louie I liked in the beginning of the show but then he showed some terrible colors midstream..and then tried to suck up again..hmmmm not to pyratey in my book.
  20. web page as the article says good luck filling his boots. I think Russel Crowe would be great for this part. Val Kilmer seems to be doing nothing much these days...hmmm. Hugh I don't see as a pirate at all. He is great in the musical Oklahoma..fine siging voice. Christian I don't see as a pirate either. Brad Pitt...nawww... Mathew is too busy getting into nudity trouble...lmao...
  21. well I finally got a copy of this movie...and boy the costumes throughout the entire movie are FANTASTIC....! Hats and petticoats galore!
  22. Ha ha ha..I remember vaguely the Pike...I remember reading a newspaper article when they where tearing it down, that at one of the fun houses a dummy broke open and it was really a mummy...(probably someone got rid of someone back in the old days....the hard way)... Ports of Call is still where it always was in San Pedro...just take the 110 till it ends on Gaffey go down about 7 blocks and make a left you run into it....used to go there back in the 60's alot with mom/dad. Marineland...I don't know if the Donald has turned it into condo's or a golf course yet...but I remember going on a little trip to it's remainder and took some wild geraniums and they are still growing in my yard and it reminds me of the good old days of Marineland..they should have never gotten rid of it. I heard at one time that Univ. of Santa Barbara was going to annex it and use some of it for research and leave the rest as an amusement...too bad that did not happen. The kelp bed are right there and if your a local kid from the South Bay like me you know where to find a couple of caves around the bend from Marineland by their dock..or was once a dock.
