Our previously quit Bully MacGraw awakens from a drunken stooper and proclaims: "Not that I be the arrogant type ye know, but let it be known that all ships that shall pass me harbour MUST lower thar flags in respect to me! Now I have me guns primed and ready! I will not fire a warning!! So listen here Royaliste, Tales and Saber!! When ye pass, lower your flag AND I demand a Capt's share of all your plunder if'ns you think ye can get past me guns!" Will our Mr. MacGraw regret such a challange? Will the Roylaste lower her banner as she passes Mr. MacGraw's harbour? Stay tuned to this Pyrate channel! I am certain photos will follow! Hope to see people this week-en…

Ahoy mates! The captain's computer is still floatin' belly up, but he is doing his best to be back on-line soon. So I will give you a run-down of our adventures of this last weekend!! We sailed out Friday afternoon aboard the Royaliste from our home port of Sausalito. We sailed out of the Golden Gate and out into the open sea. There, we met up with the Privateer Lynx and the Hawaiian Chieftain. The Chieftain pulled up along the port (left) side of the Lynx and escourted her in. We had come about (made a U-turn) and were on the Lynx's starboard (right) side ahead of her. We gave her a nice broadside in honor of National Talk Like a Pirate Day and to give her a welcome …

I'm sick to death of the SCA and the authenticity nazis.. I am all for having a good time, and learning something historical (hysterical) in the process, but the next person that gets on me for having elastic in my cuffs is gonna get it with my cutlass!! Are there any Naurical/Maritime/PIRATE events here in Oregon? SOS!! Boredom will kill me before the barnacles do!

Here are the photos from our July 7th media premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean, in San Jose, CA. Tales of the Seven Seas was there with 24 pirates, who entertained the media and invited guests as they waited in a line that wrapped around the theater parking lot, then performed a skit to introduce the movie, which included 8 pirates involved in a swashbuckling sword battle!!! Wow! The movie was great! We had 60 people in our group dressed up as pirates (I'm sorry if I didn't get pictures of everyone). The El Capitan had re-done the whole theatre complete with props, costumes, and sets. It was beautiful! The worst part was even though the theatre asked us to organize this pirate party (for press purposes) but then not having us be out front or letting us sit next to each other. ABC news- (owned by Disney) ended up filming a chick in a bikini with "I (Heart) Orlando Bloom" written on her chest and ignored our massive crew. But I digress, here's some links of our cursed excursion: PoTC- pics - courtesy of Gene Biondo PoTC -pics - courtesy…

Ahoy all... Fair Katey and I just got back from colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. I want to tell anyone who can make the trip or is thinking about going....GO... It was everthing and then some. While we were there, Lord Cornwallice occupied the town and declared marshel law. There were re-enactors for both American and British. It was a fantastic place to visit. The weapons.. let me say that again..THE WEAPONS.... To say they were impressive is an understatement. There were weapons from the original time period as well as reproduction weapons. The magazine had a few hundred weapons and the goveners house had over seven hundred weapons on its walls. Again, with both orig…

I was thinking it might be kinda fun to try and meet some fellow pirates off this here pyracy pub at the upcoming Renaissance Faire. It might seem really impossible to coordinate but I'm already planning on going one time and meeting up with a fellow pirate from San Diego. If anyone thinks of an easy meeting place that is there maybe a set time..... what ever one can think of. It might be nice if its possible. Will there be any pirate groups based at the faire? I supposed if there was that would be ideal meeting place. Just a thought.

I was Wondering if any of you are going to the So. Cal. Ren Faire at all. Although they tends to dislike us piratical sort (they used too!) I know I was a St. Dymphna Sea Dog once!) many of us go to it nonetheless. I am planning to go on Sunday and inteminently through out faire since a boothie gave me a run of Faire pass (I'll help out on occassions at her booth). I'd like to meet up with some of you I don't already know. It's a good faire even though it's not like it was in Agoura or out in Santa Barbara (which isn't happening this year) I hope to see some of you and raise a tankard of ale with ye!

I am sure that many of you have heard of this ship. If not, it is called the Kalymar Nickel. ( I hope that it is spelled proper ) They have a web site that you can get some info. as well as view various pics of her. There is also a listing of where she will be heading and how you can pay for her services for certain functions. Hope you enjoy it. The Capt.

I'd like to hear from New England area folks about events up here. I'd like to see what pirate events look like. I'm an active but middle aged veteran of Rev-War and Civil War reenacting. sbl@shell2.shore.net
