OK Kiddies. I just left the museum and I have two tentative time frames for the School of the Sailor. The end of April or anytime in September. Its up to us. Whats the general consensus for a 1 1/2 day school, one day festival, one day recovery? This will be Mid chesapeake bay area so summer humidity sucks, but the water will be warm enough to enjoy- or- the weather will be beautiful, but water too cold to swim in. I need feedback to make a decision.

Ok I just got off the Captain Twill thread. It was mention that somepeople would like to have a fancy event. I am all for that I am old school SCA and know what kind of work is involved. What I would like to start with is ideas as to what people would like to have there? Second how many people would consider themselves close to Kohler, WI and be willing to drive here for a discution group and plan the event.

Yes, my dears, it be almost time for the 4th Annual Pirate Faire in Salem , Mass on Sept 16 and 17. This years theatrical presentation deals with the last two weeks in the life of Edward Teach, Blackbeard, cullminating in his demise by Lt Maynard. Set just outside of Salem, Mass, at Winter Island Park, the fair takes place in an old stone gun emplacement/fort in the park. Aside from having a fair actually on a ship, this is about as piratey surroundings as you may hope to find. The troupe that does the show are real actors, and they do one hell of a job! There will be vendors and music from several bands, including The Brigands, and we have free reign from the King …
