A historical re-enactment (no Tricorns please) of the Sack of St. Augustine. Searle's Buccaneers website is the site for more info. The event last year, featured a re-enactment of the looting down the main street, (no weapons drawn please...ya might hurt the tourists) fighting the Spanish during their rear guard escape to their fort, represented by the reconstruction of the Santo Domingo redoubt near the city gates. A few pike charges at the redoubt, exchanges of musket fire, then a march down to the plaza to parlay for the exchange of kidnapped wimmin for supplies and provisions. After the action, it's back to the Pirate Encampment set up on the grounds of the Fo…

Saturday afternoon, March 13th, Tales of the Seven Seas was in the Dublin St Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin CA. We were joined by the Crew of the Dirty Rotten Oar and totaled about 30 pirates at this event. I'm told by Cracked Carrie, who recorded the telecast that we had very good TV coverage and she' already dropped a CD in the mail to me of the live telecast. We had the Land Shark, our pirate ship parade float out for the parade. It was almost as much fun getting the Land Shark to the parade as it was being in it! We had just about every carload of people turning to stare at the sight of a pirate ship going down the freeway! One busload full of kids was really fun to …

This is a big show and will take at least a day to go through the whole thing. The show is in Kalamazoo, MI on the 20/21 March. http://www.kalamazooshow.com/

Yep! That's right, it'a about that time...Riggin' the tops'ls, swabbin' the deck guns, the Pineapple and the Lady return the first week of March, according to their own schedules, so......the obvious! I'm probably not gonna post much on this, interested locals should get a hold of me, as these will become smaller crewed as a result of many changes over the winter'( lack of participation, 'tourists',people abusing my Ship, threats and snitches,etc)........Sea Battles will require participation, either sailing the ship, or manning the guns, but there'll be no more lollygagging about!..........Fire in the Hole!

The Schooner 'Wolf' had a pirate escapade for the cameras of the travel channel yesterday, and I'd like to be raising me tankard to all the fine folks who went out a mauradin' (especially to Spyder or whoever brought that wonderful bottle of rum!) We had a great time, and the show should be out in Oct. or Nov. right before Pirates in Paradise! Key West Pirate

Hola compadres.... I've joined up with the Men of Menendez in order to keep everyone up to date on St. Augustine Events. Unfortunately one of them just passed with little publicity, and that was the 'School of the 16th Century', a great primer on 16th century dress, weapons, and black powder training. Lots of fun was had!! Some pirate re-enactors came up from Orlando and conducted pike drills, fencing practice, etc. Too bad it wasn't better publicized. The Menendez birthday coming up is sure to be a walloping good time. I actually have a tentative schedule somewhere. If'n anyone would likes more information....drop me a line at thecaptain@piratehaus.com

Anyone in the So. Calif. area ever been to the Annual Palm Springs Renaissance Faire? The 10th annual one is this coming weekend March 21, 22. I was wondering if it is worth bothering for if you are a pirate and if the event is pirate friendly. Anyone planning to go? I was thinking of going (not dressed in costume).
