Ahoy, Brother and Sister Buccaneers! After much proddin' by Jamaica Rose Barton, Pirate Princess o' Riverside, Californy, I, Ricky th' Hawk o' the Drive --- last standard-bearer fer th' Jolly Roger fer the whole o' New York City --- and probably the ONLY New Yorker what even bothers to care about Talk Like a Pirate Day at all --- have finally set me scurvy foot in Pyracy.com! Aargh! Alas, I make me Pyracy.com debut under extreme duress, as I've had me 'eart broke. I bin rantin' an' ravin' about it on me Facebook pages, where I be no more'n borin' ol' Richard Washington, a naive, 46-year-old, ferever stepp'd-on, foolish ol' ninnymuggins (Aargh!). Hi everybody! I've been browsing this forum for months, as a flibustiers fan. I come from Bretagne (France), and I apologize for my basic english. Basically, I'm in a company reenacting britto-roman soldiers in the very early middle-age but I've started a 1670-80 flibustier kit recently. Piracy and flibuste period is not much reenacted in France, so...here I am! kenavo!

Avast there! I just joined this forum... Really glad I did! (And I can't believe I didn't catch up with it 'til now)... Let me introduce myself: My name is Chris Leidenfrost-Wilson, but I'm better known on the high seas as Captain Henry Martin. I'm a pirate actor and folk-singer and also a member of the NY singing pirate group, The Crimson Pirates. (There will be much more on this later... for more pressing matters are at hand!) Anyway, Stoli vodka has selected me and my pirate persona as one of ten finalists for their next "Stoli Original" campaign. Now-- I know what some of you are thinking-- "pirates only drink rum! Arr! What are ya thinkin' lad?" But honestly, …

Anyone know of good festivals to go to in the northeast (like ... draw a line from the western NY border straight down to the Atlantic, more or less). I have found a few that offer the likes of "cardboard boat races for the kiddies" and "face painting" and "fun with balloons," but I am afraid that FTPI has ruined anything like THAT for me! LOLOL If you know of a good one (or two .. or ten) and you are (might be) GOING, all the better! Would be nice to hook up with "old" friends again. I'm not asking for stuff even *I* could just find by chance with Google. I am referring to ones that you KNOW are worthy of a FTPI veteran! ;-) BTW, my HAT came in! WHAT A NICE HAT…

Pat Croce is moving his Pirate Museum in Key West to a new location, in St. Augustine (he *should* open up a branch in Akron OH, but that seems unlikely...). During the construction work, a few...things...have turned up... Historic artifacts found at St. Augustine's new pirate museum British-period sword hilt found

Newbie here (whatever you call the new recruits). I make leather jackware flasks ("bottels") and other leather goods. I started out ten years ago in the Colonial Era, moved into Medieval and now I'm swimming with Pirates (how did that happen?).

Finals are over, and I'm free of law school until January 3. I'll try to hang around a little bit until HMS George Washington University calls me back aboard. I don't know how I did; one of the nerve-wracking things about law school is that you don't have any tests in most of your classes until the final. I feel pretty confident about Criminal Law and Torts, not so sure about Civil Procedure and Contracts. I did have one mid-term test, in Civil Procedure, which I screwed up royally, but I think (and fervently hope!) that I learned from my errors. I'm celebrating my liberty by reading my first pirate book in ages: Peter Earle's The Pirate Wars, and it's interesting st…

Happy Birthday my dearest love. We have had so many amazing years together and I'm looking forward to 5 times as many more. You are the wind in my sails. Thank you for your constant encouragement and support, and for always making me laugh. Thank you for liking all the things that I like, and for not pretending to be anything you aren't. I'm so very happy to continue sailing this ship with you! All my love and admiration, Maeve O'Treasaigh
