AHOY MATIES! :) :) :) :) :) We're back for our second year of doing battle with cancer in the Relay for Life at Winthrop University in South Carolina! Last year we Swashbucklers may not have been the top when it came to collecting booty, but this year we're determined to spread word of the cause as far and fast as our legs and the cyber winds can take us. This is a completely non-profit team organization and all proceeds go to to the American Cancer Society in order to help those who are in need. Any donations and/or suggestions for piratical-fundraising would be greatly appreciated. After all, polite-pillaging of local comunities only goes so far... That'…

(Jan. 2) - Matt Pottinger was a reporter, but he's no longer so sure that the pen is mightier than the sword. The 32-year-old former Wall Street Journal reporter has joined the U.S. Marines. "The life of a reporter versus the life of someone in the military -- it is a radical departure," he mused. Combination of Factors In seven years covering China for The Wall Street Journal, Pottinger got a sense of how American liberties are a rarity in the world -- especially when he got arrested for writing about corruption. "I was standing over a toilet," he recalled, "with a bunch of Chinese policemen standing around me shredding my notebook, page by page, and flushing it dow…

You know the saying that when a man dies he's rated by the number of toys he has or something like that. Well we've all listed our weapons, favorite movies and music. Lets list our most precious and selfishly never loaned out toys. I'd start but if its mine I share it everything I have is my friends to use (wait except the new bottle of Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve)

Hello all, I am a big time gearhead with the love of motorcycles and cars. My buddy directed me too a website that advertises a new street legal "Race car / Motorcycle." Once you go to the webpage, go to the bottom of the page and click onto "watch video." It is about a five minute video which explains it all. It is pretty cool. This car kicks the ass of a racing motorcycle. Check it out! The webpage is www.arielatom.com

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I know in many countries doing fireworks yourself isn't allowed so i made video clips from my front porch and it was fantastic! It was hard to film because it was all around but i think it gives an idea of how millions of Dutch people spend millions of euro's each year. I also added two clips from tv of the London fireworks, MAGNIFICENT! All put together in a wmv with effects and music, enjoy :) PS sorry if the sound is a little crappy at some points, i filmed it with my digital camera and the noise was eardeathning but i think it's worked out well for my cheap little camera :) And in the beginning it's getting going slowly but from about the middle …

Ok, he's five and isn't actually going to write anything without the aid of lined paper - but he's up from Atlanta and staying for the week. This morning he came to me and explained (quite patiently) (for him) that he had a big problem that only I could help him with. I thought, "How big can the problems of a five year old - particularly this five year old - be?" So I asked him and he told me that he wanted me to print out pictures of Star Wars for him. I was confused. "For what?" I asked as I put on my socks. "To color in!" Ah, now the coloring books are free on the internet. When I was a kid, you had to go to the store and buy them - and they were printed on that heav…

First of all, for any of you who have purchased items from this on-line company, and have had no problems, good for you. This is my personal experience, which is still on-going and bad. Back in September I ordered a women's size medium T-shirt. When I got it nine weeks later, it was so small I couldn't fit my arms into the sleeves. Now, I'm 5'6" and weigh 116, and do not have arms like Arnold, so this came as a surprise. I e-mailed them and left a msg on their voice mail, requesting information on how they wanted the shirt returned for a larger size. I heard nothing for three weeks. After another two weeks of repeated e-mails that went unanswered, I threatened to go on…
