For those who think they know it all, here's a test for you. How smart are you ? ? These are not trick questions. 1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends. 2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward? 3. of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the only two perennial vegetables? 4. What fruit has its seeds on the outside? 5. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the b…

Vegas, baby! Yeah, we spent the weekend there and the highlight of our trip was Love! The Mirage hosts a new show that far outweighs any other Cirque show in town! Take time to check out the following clip - and if you ever have the opportunity to see it, do it! ~ All You Need is Love~ It was so excellent, that nobody seemed to want to leave when the performance and bows ended! We had such a great time, that we are going to see it again next time we are in Vegas! I'm thinking October during the Age of Chivalry Ren Faire - any takers? We sat in the 2nd level and I think that there were no better seats in the house! WooHoo!

Ok I got this in my mail so thought I would try it... *grins* ESP test I got this: This means you have an uncanny ability to look into the future and know ahead of time what is going to happen. You might, for instance, simply know that you're going to get that job before the interview even happens with a certainty that exceeds what you would expect to have simply knowing the facts of the situation. You might have a sense of dread before going out for the evening only to later have a flat tire on your way home. These little hunches are easy to ignore but for you especially, quite often lead to a true prediction of what is going to happen. These predictions can be used t…

The most recent games I've watched, Portugal vs. Netherlands and Australia vs. Italy have got to be two examples of the worst offciating I've ever seen. While I have to give credit to the Italian's ability to sell a foul, it's terribly sad when the ref determines the outcome of one match; let alone two.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your browser (and if you're not you should be!) this is what you need to know and do, thanks to Mad Jack. The hacker is using a back-door patch and is going through people's names here at the Pub. I wish to thank Mad Jack on bended knee for this wonderful information! From Mad Jack: I just found a trojan on my system called Backdoor.Redghost. It allows a remote user to take over your system. The info on it and the removal steps are here. Spy I installed an extension to my FireFox browser (under Tools -> Extensions, click "Get more extensions") called NoScript. It blocks the execution of web-based scripts unless you explicitly all…

It dawned on me today that a lot of people listen to tropical music up north and how nice it would be to escape to fun in the sun under the palm trees ... i.e., Buffett, Sunny Jim, Barefoot, and a plethora of other bands that sing about life in the sun. I used to listen to it all the time when I live in the north. Now that I live here, I notice know one in the tropics ever listens to songs about how wonderful it would be to live in the cold, the damp and the snow. Hhm. -- Sir Henry

Ok, we laugh out loud sometimes to the puns we see posted on people's chests. Here's a place for us to share these amusing quips... My younger sister is very shapely and when we were young I remember she wore a button that said "Quit staring at my chest" Faire Pins I love: (I'll share mine if you share yours) "What color are my eyes?"

I looked and didn't see a thread like this anywhere. Maybe I'm the only one who likes it. Who knows? Guess I'll find out. Post your poetry here, if you are so inclined. Jaded Blues Timeless, seamless lifetime from beginning to end. Deep, dark blues. So old, so old. Sleepless words express and capture despondency. Shattered mask, pieces on the ground. Turnstile existence matted within beating breast. Sweating blood and tears. Crimson eyes close, and then awaken with no remembrance of dreams. Far away... so old and far away. `Blackie`

I am so excited about this! I got an email this morning from my guyfriend before heading off to work. He wanted to make sure I had Friday, July 21st off so he could book us both for this program thru Sea World. I've always wanted to swim with dolphins. I missed out in Hawaii when I was 13. I had that lovely time of the month and missed out on all the water activities. So, now I finally will be able to do this, I'm so exicited, this is going to be a ton of fun! I love dolphins, this is just too awesome! It made my day, even tho work was totally nutty and stressful, I still kept thinking how great it'll be! :)
