Jaded Blues

Timeless, seamless

lifetime from beginning to end.

Deep, dark blues.

So old,

so old.

Sleepless words

express and capture

despondency.

Shattered mask,

pieces on the ground.

Turnstile existence

matted within beating breast.

Sweating blood

and tears.

Crimson eyes close,

and then awaken

with no remembrance

of dreams.

Far away...

so old and far away.
