Jacky Tar Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Well, I guess I'm speaking up again to show off what I've been sewing in the catigory of "pirate garb".I wanted to make something for Halloween, but I was afraid that I wouldn't have time (Says the seamstress who sews some projects in less than two weeks) so I threw together some of the stuff I had in order to make my pirate character's costume: "Kass, if yer about, looks like ye have future competition! Good job Cap'n Shamrock!"
Captn M Shamrock Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Anyway.... ye be dang cute........ *Lol* Well, thanks. "Kass, if yer about, looks like ye have future competition! Midshipman Sickleback Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Not exactly piratical, but close and nautical nevertheless. Me preparing for Halloween as a Captain. There is a blazer that goes with this but I didn't manage to get a photograph of it. It's just something cobbled together within a week. Consists of joggers, t-shirt, jacket and some neato bucket-style boots. ...I really didn't want to take this outfit off. Don't dwell on the past Live for today Don't anticipate tomorrow
LadyBarbossa Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Very sporting... all of ye! :) ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous!
Capt. Bo of the WTF co. Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 It's been awhile since I've done this, so my son and I did a couple of practice runs. Here goes... The monmouth cap came from our very own GoF, the jacket and slops are Jas. Townsend & sons, the shoes Fugawee, the knee-breeches and shirt I made a long time ago. the blunderbuss is my CVA project, and the cutlass has yet to be properly identified. Bo
Black Syren Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Great pics Capt. Bo! Quite dashing! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't) Â Â
Capt. Bo of the WTF co. Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Thanks. Not GAoP, but I'll get there. At least I can show the un educated the difference between a seaman and a landsman in colonial finery in my period. I get mistaken for pyrate all too often when portraying a colonial man in "Sunday clothes."
Master Sully Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Help me please. I forgot how to post a photo from photobucket. "Remember, on a pirate ship, in pirate waters, in a pirate world, ask no questions. Believe only what you see. No, believe half of what you see."... Burt Lancaster DUM SPIRO SPERO... Capt. Bo of the WTF co. Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Well, I'm no techie but I'll try. Open the reply window here and start your mesage, then go to File on your tool bar and open another new window. Once this comes up, go to your photobucket account. Left click on the IMG tag, which should be the bottom one of the three, it will flash "copied". now, bring up your pub reply window and right click. Left click on paste and you should have it. Hope this helps. Bo
kass Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Looking good Bo! Building an Empire... one prickety stitch at a time!
