WillTheobald Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Hoy Mates! I figure my first post to these here forums should consist of a portrait of my fine mug! I apologize beforehand for the numbers of the dates, they bug me like mad. So here goes...
CaptainJackRussell Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Great look!!! what boots do you wear? The tankard is quite fine, looks very period. May I use the pics acc. to https://pyracy.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7352? fair winds, Jack
Silkie McDonough Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 ...I apologize beforehand for the numbers of the dates, they bug me like mad... Fine photos of a fine looking man in what looks to my untrained eye, fine garb! May I suggest that you pull out the manuel on your cam? You should be able to turn off the date stamp.
LadyBarbossa Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Cascabel... ya leave little t' be desired! Yer a fine pirate! :) And am in awe of yer blunderbuss there. My compliments, mate! Lookin' forward t' meetin' you at PiP. M'Lord Theobald... a fine pirate ye be, too! My my... so many fine gents here who make piracy all the more tempting and perfect! Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous!
Captain Jim Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Me an' me mate Blackwater Patti... Its good to be the Pyrate... Never follow Cascabel in a photo group...He is the pyrate. My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
WillTheobald Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Many thanks Lady Barbossa...Gazing upon your "attributes" proves to me why pyracy has called to me! Now I just need to find a fine crew to help roughen up these clothes on me back. I am afraid my nature to stay out of the harsher parts of pyracy is proving to put me at a disadvantage when I see these old salts dressed like true men of the sea. I might be better off in the Navy...(I will be sure to post pics of me in my other, more swashbuckling outfit...for you Lady). *giggles like a pirate shouldnt*...
Duchess Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Will- will you be in garb at the Moscow (embarrassing excuse for a) renaissance festival?
WillTheobald Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Wouldnt be caught dead without it...I will be representing the Bloody Knee ( my rag tag group of sailors I am trying together) at the Faire both days...unfortunatly this faire is not the typical Ren Faire (as you noted), but hassling the locals will be a priority and I am excited to show off the garb! Are you from around Moscow?
Cap'n Pete Straw Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Very nice, everyone... ...But my kudos to Cascabel. Nice job, sir. "He's a Pirate dancer, He dances for money, Any old dollar will do... "He's a pirate dancer, His dances are funny... 'Cuz he's only got one shoe! Ahhrrr!"
Cascabel Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Lady Barbossa, Captain Jim, Cap'n Pete Straw..... Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm happy to have finally gotten squared away on how to post pictures, thanks to the good shipmates on this Pub. I know how to make pirate stuff, but computers are definately not my area of expertise, so I sometimes need a bit of instruction Now I know how to post pictures if I need to illustrate a point. I think a DETAILED tutorial in the initiation section would be helpful. I find that a lot of good folks try to help people like me with computer info, and leave out important steps, assuming we know what to do next. Anyhow, thanks to all..... >>>>> Cascabel

Rumba Rue Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Just curious Mr. Lazarus, do ye not have hair upon yer head?
Capt. Lazarus Gage Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 :) Nope! I shave my head, been doing it since highschool. As for the outfit, it will be all my own, although the coat I'm savin' up for now is Black .
Edward T. Porter Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Yesterday I´ve just finished sewing some basics for Mr. Porter: Next will be a Short Jacket... but the cunstruction is a bit more difficult as I thougt and I´ll have to make a musslin fitting first and then alter the pattern... my stomach isn´t made for normal sizes
LadyBarbossa Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Very nice, Mr Porter. :) My compliments. A black coat, eh, Mr Gage? Hmmm... I'm rather eager t' see it once finished.
