We have GOT to visit this place...
Captian Wolfy Wench replied to TalesOfTheSevenSeas's topic in Ports O'Call
Holy Leapin' Passionate Christs, THAT is a K-E-G! O_O;; More like a dwarf and a giant's keg. He looks as if he's comfortable for the next few years. Captain Wolfy Wench -
A good price on hats, clothing or weapons'd be nice. But I doubt you have corsets and chemises in my size. Anyway, if ye post pics of yer weapons, I'll take a look! Or if you have a tricorn, I'd like to take a look. Captain Wolfy Wench

Pirate Looking for a Ship
Captian Wolfy Wench replied to Desert Pyrate's topic in Find a Crew or Introduce One
Agreed, I'd stay wif the schoolin', mate. I'm probably much younger than you and therefore have less experience, bu' every single person I know that takes a year offa school and/or college says it's almost impossible to go back. My friend actually approached me recently concernin' a program that allows students to spend a semester on board a tallship and actually get school credit. Don' quote me, bu' I believe it's science credit. If yer in California, I think yer applicable fer the program. If ye want, I can try and get more info. It sounds a lot like the program piratelassie was talkin' abou', but I know there's one based on the West Coast, so it may be different, or if not, related. Captain Wolfy Wench -
Never heard of it, is there a site wif more info? Captain Wolfy Wench

I plan on attendin' the Escondito faire this year. I'll try ter be in me new clothes, but you know how the wenches are wif their appearance. :) Actually, I don't know if I'll have all my stuff together, really. Maybe I'll go in me Captain Jack Sparrow costume. I live in So. California, so I hope that this faire won't be too far from me home. If'n I don' go for the weekend, I'll make it jus' a day trip. I'll be lookin' fer ye both! I also wanted to talk to the Port Royal Privateers and get some information on the group. By the time of the faire, I'll be turnin' 18 just a week later, so maybe they can bend the rules a bit? Lookin' forward to it! Captain Wolfy Wench

Hope this link works. Desert Pirate's Coat Great coat, mate! I love the red accents, and the material looks comfortable. Maybe a pic of you with it on? Captain Wolfy Wench

Never seen it, so this new DVDs the perfect chance to see it fer the first time! Hope to invite me pyrate friends over for a good showin'. Thanks for the heads-up! Sir Christopher Lee is amazin', I jus' can't wait to see him young! And hear him, too. Captain Wolfy Wench

What years of wisdom ye must bear, Missee Lee! Happy birfday from the Wolf! Have a good round (or [ninety-] three) on me! :) Captain Wolfy Wench

How 'bout pirate lads minus the sweat? Becuase I'm sure we all know what THOSE smell like. :) Personally, I love me the smell of blood freshly awash on deck. *deep breath* Ahh... Captain Wolfy Wench

I can't wait to get my salty paws on this! Their HeroClix are quite popular... I love their Daredevil figure. Hope this'll become a regular activity at cons and other pyrate gatherings although it's very much not a period activity. Forgive my comicbook geekness. Captain Wolfy Wench

Beautiful coats! I'd've bid on them but I've no money, lass. Love the velvet. :) Captain Wolfy Wench

Looks great! Faded in all the right places. WHat did you do? My vest could use a bit of that. Captain Wolfy Wench

Master and Commander was, in me opinion, such a grea' film. Don' know about Oscars, though, but I enjoyed it thoroughly, and plan on plunderin' me own double disc copy! Comes out (conveniently) a bit after me birthday, so I'll be ready! I'm sure they'll try and get a series of films goin' of the Aubrey/Mautrin novels. I cannot wait to start readin' the first one cuz I've got too much assigned readin' now t' start. :) Captain Wolfy Wench
-
I saws the post and I thought we was raidin' Lady Barbossa. O_o In terms of the topic... I couldn't tell ye, Lass. I would bring my folks if I knew they'd have fun, but then I wouldn't if I knew I was goin' t' have... MORE fun... if ye know what I mean. Captain Wolfy Wench

Grea' coat! You look a handsome pyrate, it does well by you! It looks pretty authentic with only minor details off in reproducin', but you wear the look wif pride, mate. Good choice! While I usually agree that I don' like fading stuff out and makin' it look worn, for costumes, it's different. I'd've tried washin' it and layin' out in the sun for a bit to beat it up, then fade it with really mild bleach, fabric fader or other. Post a photo of the back! Yes! Please? Nice livin' room, by the way... Captain Wolfy Wench

Oh no, hemming... my FAVORITE thing to do in sewing. Is there a way around this? Hemming needs to die. Thanks fer the advice ev'ryone, for such a simple piece to the costume, I needed a lot fo specific help. I like to get things right the first time before I have to make another of the same thing... with more hemming... What's with all this terry cloth sash material I'm wonderin', though. EDIT: My 200th post. Huzzah! Captain Wolfy Wench

More Pirate's Booty at Hot Topic
Captian Wolfy Wench replied to imadrunkenpirate's topic in Thieves Market
And they indeed sell Jack and Will shirts there. I also found some Jolly Roger flags, patches and stickers there, not to mention cuffs, towels, shower curtains, other t-shirts, etc. Now if only they put those two on the SAME shirt... O_o Captain Wolfy Wench -
Great work! Looks real nice and smooth in the picture, nearly professionally made! Aye, you must have some skill to turn leather into that fine frog! Endkaos, I would usually think that equipment that uses leather uses a smoother, more finished leather. It's tougher, looks better (for equipment, anyway) and can be waterproofed for long useage. I'd use my $1.40/yd. suede to finish off me boots, but that's just me. Great find, you're lucky to have found pelts at such a fantastic price! I know some cotton sells for more than that! Captain Wolfy Wench

SELLIN' her? Whatever for?! *looks round for change under couch pillows* No, really, any specific reasons why? Captain Wolfy Wench

Too late for the class pic as well, but here is mine! :) Complete in claws and fangs, awww. Great class pic, Desert!! Very funny! Captain Wolfy Wench

Hm, well, i think everyone is lookingat it differently. These movie franchises are huge and daunting, with most of them out with every sort of product out there, TV series included. if you look real closely, it is not the movie tie-in products that ruins the films. It's the sequels. Look at Star Wars. No one ever cared that the original trilogy had lunchboxes, action figures, bed sheets, party favors, you name it, they have it movie products, it was the sequels (or rather, prequels filmed afterward) that makes everyone stick out their tongue when someone mentions Star Wars. And while most everyone is happy that Disney is making two sequels, it's THAT I think that "make or breaks" the franchise. Even though the original actors and writers are coming back and I don't doubt they can make an equally good film, it has to live up to expectations for the franchise to hold up. And I don't think Disney is even so sure about that. Look at how they're approaching this: making both movies right after the other. Being such an idiot fan myself, of course I'll watch the films and the series. But I want to work on the show if it's animated... Captain Wolfy Wench
-
Huzzah indeed! He will run Disney into the ground, destroying all that was once good in it! *is bitter* Let us not destroy the 2-D and traditional animation, that which made that company... bwaaargh. Captain Wolfy Wench

I usually don't stick LIVE animals in the microwave... only cats. But... *eyedarts* you're not supposed to know that. I'll be sure to join when I'm of age... I plan to go out and do everything I've been wanting to on my birthday exactly! *cackles* I can't wait to join! Captain Wolfy Wench
-
By the time the Festival rolls around, I'll be 18, and hopefully part of PRP! I really want to join, but you must be of age (of course). I wanted to ask a friendly member: how's it like? They seemed a bit strict and their rules scared me a bit, so I wondered if they're really tough graders or evaluators or anything. See you there! Captain Wolfy Wench

There's an actual pyrate schooner called 'Wolf'? More power to 'em! I'll look out fer it come autumn! Captain Wolfy Wench
