Nice pics, Christine! I am glad I got to meet you at Comic-con! Unfortuantely, that night seeing PotC was the last night I got to see my beautiful Wench costume... I left it in a plastic bag in the screening room! X_x Your Jack Sparrow was certainly the best one I got to see there at Comic-con, and there were quite a few! Be sure to give him my regards... Just lookin' the the calibers of old makes me rather dizzy. I just fired a .44 revolver, and it felt like a bloody shotgun. It jumped straigh' outta me 'ands, nearly! O' course... it was .44 mag. And it's big and scary. Captain Wolfy Wench

Also, a great way to find some faires and other ren-like happenings is to join a local pirate renacting group, although most tend to want 18+ ages. No Quarter Given has some resources for that. Crews and such. It's great to join clubs like that becuase other people may know of some events not listed online. Good luck! Captain Wolfy Wench

Ye can bet yer scurvy tails I'll be there! Unfortunately, as much as I love CC, I cannot be there until Friday afternoon. I have a hotel room for Friday and Saturday night, so I'll be there from Friday to Sunday. Also, Comic-con is Star Wars time for me, as I have almost no other times I can bust out the Jedi costume. I'll be wearing that on Friday, I think. Friday is SW day. I think we should all wear our appropriate garb on Saturday. I'll be wearin' it anyway, but it'll be easier to spot who's a faire-goer and who's part of the Pyracy Boards! Me garb is a blue chemise with a black bodice and outer skirt. WOW, Katarina, your work is fantastic! I can see a bit o' anime-like insp'ration in it, but your linework and marks with the pen is jes' fabulous. Wish I was as good as ye with tha'. I'm an artist meself, have always been. In fact, my major at my university (I start in the Fall) is Animation. I've done some animation before, too, so I'm not pickin' majors outta me arse. I'm well interested in film, too. Anyway, some of me art is at DeviantART. Here's me page. Well hullo, Lady Elaina! Not much is going on here in our area, except for Meetup.com things and a few faires. Next one is very far form us, though, in San Luis Obispo! I think we should all get together like an unofficial meetup. In costume would be better! But you will see me at Tallships Festival. Hopefully as a part of PRP! OF COURSE they allow pirates... I haven't encountered a problem yet, but who knows. I posted the SD ren faire on the calendar awhile ago, and it's now up in the upcoming events on the main forum page. I plan to be there, but I'm not sure; SD is far from LA. Captain Wolfy Wench

That's so awesome that he says that it'll be written in. I was almost convinced Jack's father was going to be in the movies after Johnny babbled on about having Keith Richards play him. I've been through the history section at my Barnes and Noble so many times, but I have only two historical books, the Cordingly "Life Among the Pirates" book and um...
