  1. Redd I swear to God your picture is so much better than the old one! Yeh! It's a pirates life for Dick and all of us!
  2. I returned to the aft deck dressed in me Sunday best hoping upon all hopes.... Rummy were in the follow and came up ahind me asking tfor my time to take her confessions. I did in fact look about finding a closed area behind (actually next to) the stowed barge I asked her if said local would make her approval. I sat upon one of two tied kegs against the larboard rail and she across the barges hull from me. I looked up to see ciaran looking down from the crows nest and smiling large. His teeth though yellowed with years of smoke and gapped from birth was still a nice smile.
  3. Lads and lasses heres the scoop Dick the promoter of Ojai just sent me this e-mail and I feel as though ye should all be knowin of how important our piratage is in the world: You should have been there on Monday, it rained buckets for 5 hours!!!! it would have killed us if it happened on Sunday. We were very pleased with the attendence for the weekend, it renewed our hope for the pirates! We were suffering for the last few years because of low attendence but kept going because we love to do pirates. I think the biggest factor was the beautiful weather and word of mouth, we had over 900 costumed re-enactors last weekend, making it the WORLDS LARGEST Pirate gathering, you can quote me on that!................Dick Huzzah!

Sixth bell and I've been here frying up the pork strips and making this souflet dish using the rest of the onion, chiles and a little salt and pepper I mashed the slowly cooked yet still runny scrambled eggs into a pastry shell. I put it in the oven for a short time and it rose up over the top but stopped as it rolled over the edge of the crust. I removed and made ready the second dish waiting for the firsts consumption completion. Coffe was on and it weren't light out yet figured the crew'd be up and about shortly. Cacao leaves and me last half vanilla bean I were mixing in the powder fer the mornings brew when in came Rummy Aye lass I were hoping you might come and play a soft song to brighten this day with your cheer. 10. after the likes of such a long day caught up to me I was still in the galley cleaning down all the spatter from the tub of stew splashing about. I was into my third pint of ale and realized I hadn't eaten any late supper after me dogwatches. Three pints on an empty stomach? I wouldn't have known mass from confession..... I went to bed
  11. can we be as obscure as possible here? Maybe something from yugoslavia or japan
  12. No wonder I had never run into you at the gate at Escondido, the Stranglehold usually does gate duty from 3-4, and then we hit the Ale stand. Yargh good friend, tis a pity the hours there aren't overlapping but when it be they loose the best they aquire the best to replace them eh?
  13. Pouches are what they be, but purse is what it were called! Pockets a real no no! I have seen mostly pipes fitted into the hats fer carry and storage and yes bowl down.....
  14. CHRISTINE THE MOVIE (wait I thought this was a lyrics thread?)
  15. Yargh we were going to be in California City the first weekend but rummy doesn't fly in till saturday morning at 6:40am so instead of killing ourselves getting out to Tim Buck Too (though it is a wonderful little faire) we figured "ESCONDIDO" and besides it's been too long since seeing Bloody Mary Bonney! ( Did I ever post the picture of Mary dancing? )
  16. Dorian Sir, I was thinking! Actually no, I had this dream...... I thought that ifin we ever were to cruise into another of those jumping tunas crashing the small bait balls we seen afore what would be the chance of filling a few of the top mounted swivels with nail and raising sails to a slow as we made wind ended approach and then fired into the boil you know instead of fishing and breaking them off we might make a few that way? Mayhaps two kegs o nails fer the deck scatterers as well?
