Been there, done that. Some Tips from a Castaway Club member: It is usually held the evening you're in Cozumel, so it cuts into your night life on shore. Don't dress authentic for it. Everyone will think you are part of the crew and it isn't much fun with everyone asking you questions. Plus, you can't run to shore after dinner and before the party starts at 10pm dressed like a pirate unless you want to get mugged in Cozumel. (Real modern day pirates and all.) Instead, invest in a some fun "piratey" t-shirts from hottopic and such. You will be more comfortable (it's hot in the Caribbean) and you can party on shore between dinner and the party time. There will be no shows (Walt Disney Theatre, etc.) the nights the ship is in ports. That's why you will want to be comfortable enough to go ashore. There is nothing else to do until the Party starts. The light graphics are awesome (skull and crossbones on the main funnel.) The sound and music is stimulating. Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, and all the Disney gang are decked out. I have some great video from my trip in October. Bugger on the Dads helping out, this mother was prepared to fight until the end. On the Eastern Caribbean, you will stop in Key West. There's a great shop on the square that had replica blunderbusts. It was fun getting that onboard the ship, but it was a great prop for the POTC party.

My sister was just down to Foxx studios in Rosarita Beach. The Rose is still on the gimble down there. I'm surprised that hasn't been mentioned yet as a possibility for the movie.

Pre-orders! Disney is slow on the upswing again. Now I will have to hide from DH because I can't use the holidays as an excuse.

Got mine yesterday from Ebay. Dh won't let me open it until Christmas. It was the only way he would not harrass me for bidding on it.

That tis certainly true. Me mate thinks I'm an idiot to buy it just for the 3rs "lost" disc. Oh well my obssession, he has his own. I'm hiding his $60 bottle of tequila.

NOT a dream of mine. I don't want to be an actor; I want to be a pirate. As for the casting call... Quote Pirates: The pirates that we cast to play Jack’s Crew and Barbosa’s Crew were extreme character types ages 18-50. They had very thin, lean builds, or were extremely skinny. Missing teeth, wandering eyes and serial killer looks are best with real long hair & beards. Wigs & makeup are not what we’re looking for. Sounds like a few of the menfolk here would fit right in.

If you all recall, they shot film in both oceans. Some shots were done in Long Beach because Rosarita Beach's Titanic tanks were being used by Master & Commander and other shots were done in St. Vincent. As much as this guy in Grand Bahamas sounds like he will have the tanks for shooting, I think Bruckheimer would be amiss not to use the Titanic Tanks in Rosarita Beach this time around. Not to mention that a replica of the Tallship Rose was built on a hydralics for the Titanic Tanks.

You can buy "tattoos" for a ink jet printer. I found them at OfficeMax. Just print them out and paste them on.

What I fantasy about is having no demands. No kids needing to get homework done, no bills to pay, no husband to satisfy (oops, did I say that out loud?) Just me and my boat sailing on the open water, pulling up to a dockside restaurant and having a steak dinner. Damn, guess I need the husband to pay for the boat and steak dinner. Guess he'll want some kids, so popped a few out for him. Rotten teachers...homework should be against the law.

Well, I must have been channeling the "bad" vortexes on my recent trip to Sedona. Sorry folks that it has taken me awhile to catch up on the "conversations". Now let's get down to the basics of this topic. With a movie has exciting and dramatic as POTC, there are bound to be rumors, rumors and more rumors. Some may be true, some are as false as my bank account balance, and some are a mixed pot. This is spot to repeat rumors, however NONE are verified here. Anytime I see a topic posted about casting calls for POTC 2&3, that post will be merged with this one. Those in the industry know who to contact and have the prerequiste background. The rest of us live vicariously through them. If you post about casting calls for POTC 2&3 in Pirate Pop, it will be taken as a rumor and rumors are NOT verifed in Pirate Pop. This is a fun place for those of us obssessed with Pirate Pop Culture. So avast you scallywags, Black Hearted Pearl

This guy is a professional treasure hunter. He had been watching the beach for years...he just didn't wander by. He also used his trusty metal detector. The location is secret and not easily accessible. The hurricane uncovered the top layer of modern garbage. It is not covered over again by tides with modern garbage and undetectable by metal detectors once again. until the next hurricane.

FAVORITE SEASONAL MOVIES
Black Hearted Pearl replied to Capt. Westyn Elizabeth Roberts's topic in Pyrate Pop
I love Hocus Pocus, but what about Edward Scissorhands? Not that I have a thing for him, but I could do a whole night of Halloweeny movies starring Johnny Depp. Edward Scissorhands Sleepy Hollow From Hell Secret Window and of course....POTC -
The eyebrows on that thing look a little low. I have seen other JD masks on ebay before. Buyer beware.

Van's Skull & Cross Bones Skate/Deck Shoes!
Black Hearted Pearl replied to TalesOfTheSevenSeas's topic in Thieves Market
On an impulse, I bought said pink and white skull and crossbones lace ups. Me sister chastised me stating "Just where do you think you are going to wear those? The PTO meetings?" So with a sad heart, I returned them. If it were not for the fact that I spend most of my days at schools, I would have them in my possession. -
