Many celebs have been on this bike ride. Lots of people from around the world ride across Iowa each year. Anything to enhance the memories of those who attend. This is not my first RAGBRAI I have attended and helped with. So,…

Greetings One and All, Mark your calendars ye pirates o' the tall grasses and come out to the John Brown Memorial Park in Osawatomie, Kansas on July 14th for the 1st Annual Festival of the Dragon, a one day event (to test the community's response). The new new website is up and operational: http://www.festivalofthedragon.com/ It lists some of our fellow performers as well as giving the day's schedule of events. Hope to see some of you there, feel free to stop by the Royal Stage or the Children's Realm and introduce yourselves, it would be wonderful to put faces with the names! Ello Mates, I'm double posting this as it's not only a place to raid as a pirate, but to acquire some fun pirate tunes booty. Pirates always get lucky on saturday night and here be a chance to enjoy some fine pirate tunes at the same time. The Pirates of New Providence are having a CD release party at Pirate-n-Plunder in Whittier, CA. I've heard the band and have enjoyed their performances at quite few events around the Southern California area. Those of you who were able to attend Spring Ojai Renaissance PIRATE faire would have had to chance to hear this tight group perform. Alas I will not be able to attend this event as I have made other plans. Also, since I know t…

My friend sent me some information about this event going on at the Nauti Goose Saloon in North East, Maryland. It sounds pretty fun so I thought I'd pass this along to everyone. Here's what he wrote: I just remembered something I wanted to share with you last night. On Friday July 21st, 7:30pm at the Nauti Goose, they are having a “theme” dinner thingy called “Pirates of the Chesapeake”. It is $40 per person, which includes a special dinner (including shark, I believe) and drink specials. It is a costume event with a $200 cash prize for the winner! http://nautigoosesaloon.com/EVENTS.htm I'm probley going since it's extremely close to home (I hit that place pretty…

Just wanted to note that this is the opening weekend for the Bristol Ren Faire located in Kenosha, WI (on the boarder between WI and IL). The big feature this year is a period correct ship of the Queen's fleet during the 1570s. Log on over to their website (www.renfair.com/bristol) and take a look! P.S. Love to see if I can't get a group together and venture down there for a weekend

Myself and my partner in things Piratical, Admiral Antillis Rhedd, are organizing a raid on the National Amusements Island 16 Cinema on the evening of July 7th. If anyone is interested in attending, please let me know no later than June 30th as we plan to buy the tickets in advance. The following night, the Kingdom of DragonWynde will be presenting a Pirate Tavern, the Dead Parrot Inn, which is a period LARP atmosphere gathering. Please comment if you are interested!
