  1. Thank you, Matey. Much abliged. I'll look into the Pirate Weekend. This weekend, we take our daughter aboard the Nautica Queen in Cleveland for Capt'n Willie's cruise. He is a tame pirate. In August, we'll be in Cincinnati for the Whynot. That should be great. Next year we'll probably try to get out to the Blackbeard Festival in Virginia. Thank you again. Thanks again for the info on the Medieval Faire. We had a blast and ran into plenty of pyrates, from Barboza to Jack Sparrow and everyone in between. Keep the wind in your sails . . .
  2. Thank you. I'll look for those. Our next trip is out of San Juan, so we'll be bypassing Florida altogether. I will look for one of the tallships next time we're in Florida. Thank you.
  3. Arrrgh! Matey, I did say day cruise. I am day crew up here, but down there I plan to plunder and enjoy some rum from Davy Jones' Locker! Pyrat Rum at that! (From Antigua, I believe & distributed by Patron) My first mate and younger crew member will be feastin' on the booty of Royal Caribbean Crews Line and taking in the balmy sea air next February (hopefully far from the Hurricanes ye' warned me of). We will have a day in Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas, then round-trip back to San Juan. We're just looking fer a fun day under the sails. There are four ships I am aware of, but I'm trying to make an informed decision. As for stateside, what are your suggestions? I will put them in my "someday" file. Thank ye' for responding to this landlubber / pyrate wanna-be.
  4. Ahoy there, mateys. Can any of ye' brethren or sistren recommend a day cruise. My first mate and young crew member are lookin' to leave all landlubbers behind and sail with some real pyrates of the Caribbean. We'll stop in San Juan, P.R., Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas. I have seen a pirate ship in Aruba, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas, but they seem like party boats, not pirate boats. Any information? Has anyone been on the Lord Sheffield Pirate cruise, in St. Maarten? Or the Jolly Pirate ship in Aruba? They both sound better than the boats in St. Thomas. If anyone has been on both, a review would be very much appreciated.

  6. Looking for other pyrates in the Cleveland area, or a reasonable drive. Any festivals on the Great Lakes?
