I know registration was supposed to close today (okay yesterday for those who hold firlmly to midnight being the end of the day).... But I was talking to a member of the local crew this evening, and he has the vacation time and the desire to go. Would it be acceptable if he faxed in a registration on Monday or Tuesday? He would do it tomorrow, but he will be on the road to pick up his new boat... Thanks for any help you can provide with this... If William Red Wake is paying attention to this thread, and a late registration is acceptable, could you add Mark G. to the Mercury Crew list. Thanks mate. I have Withoutaname's book. I had Lady Seahawk's and Callenish's books and sent them to Pyrateleather at the same time, so I imagine that the one I have is currently my october book. Yeah. It's making sense in my head.

The hold up was my fault, Ransom. First no pub, then no power and it was just not pretty. My October book will be mailed out November first if not sooner.

I used to use a toolbox. Like one with divided drawers to keep it all organized.

That's a very good idea Fayma. I did check into the "Key West Express" and it's a bit more han $50 per person ($128), but it looks like alot of fun! If we had more time on this trip, we would do that!

The 2 turtledoves thing was a wax seal. Info and sketches from the online exhibit is here. The phrase is pretty cool, I think; “LE MORT SI IE VOVS PERS” or “’Til Death if it pleases Thee.” Here are some nice replicas available at a pretty reasonable price as a necklace or earrings. Michael bought me the necklace of this and I love it. Very well made and not cheesey looking....

We (myself, Michael, MAdDogge/Rats and MAdDogge) went to the beach and Fort Macon in garb last week.... Amused many people I believe.

If you just go to Youtube....search for beaufort pirate invasion and a whole slew of videos from this year pops up.

And the ship desperately needs a fundraiser.....it's not in very good shape. I think they brought it here in 1991 and it's spendy to upkeep and admission is about $3ish... Everyone that works on it is generally volunteer, but they do have some paid employees.

We have to talk to George and Mark.... They do all the organising and stuff so we'll have to find out what kind of events these are, or if they want additional help with it. Michael said he would look into it this week. :)
