Th' Pyrates of Emerson be cool..... not Steampunk (well they could be now) but Tales of the Seven Seas did a parade with them a few years ago.... they do a fantastic haunted house interactive kinda thing.... dang... wish I lived closer....

Is the game any good? I saw alla the promo for it, but it took forever to happen, so I kinda lost interest..... I did some of the early play-test for the Pirates of the Caribbean game..... but I didn't really like that, so I just dropped out.....

I don't really understand the whole Catholic thing about MadiGras.....Fat Tuesday... that sorta thing..... So it's kinda a big party before you have to give up stuff for lent.... or until Easter? I'm not being mean, or anti-Catholic or nothing.... I really don't understand.....(I was raised Protestant, my parents never did that sorta thing, nor explained it to me.....)

I ain't goinna click th' link... I ain't goinna look at it..... maybe it's fun.... kinda sounds weird ter me....... But it does sound like the long ago California election where they were tryin' ter figure out where the State capital should be..... Sacramento got more votes than 5 times the population of the entire State........ (I think San Fransisco only could stuff the ballot box for twice the population...) Once upon a time we could at least laugh about our polly-tick...........

I haven't tried that yet... but I also read about it on a Cowboy thread..... so it's gotta work........... OK... I'm just being slightly silly (couldn't spell fecious....((see...)).... but I did read about using shellac and denatured alcohol when I was looking for information..... I just haven't tried it yet..... OK.... and I don't "steam" hats.... I just use boiling water to soak the felt, and (being very careful ... it's still hot..). then I mold it.... From everything I've read... steaming is the way to do it..... but I've had good results with the boiling water..... So it may work for you.....(that's how I stretched Mission's hat.....)

Bumping this.... Who else wants ter be Buccaneers at PiP next year? I kinda want to get a list, before we start talking about how we are going to smoke some meat first......

just a simple observation..... We have two different discussions going on here.... One about musket cartridges, and the other about cannon Cartridges..... It's no big deal, but it does sometimes get a little confusing..... "Hey... I like using a tin foil cartridge..." "Wot inna musket?" Most of us know the difference.... but we may wanna be more specific when we post.....

Hey, I have two... no wait,... three different personas... Pyrate, Buccaneer and Airship Pyrate.... SO I'll start wit Patrick Hand th' Pyrate first.... OK... there is a lot that I haven't quite figured out yet.... such as where I was born.... I started out as a good honits sailor, lerned me job/trade an' was good at it... but it all turned sour when a snottie nosed midshipman got into trouble because of 'is own stupitity... after getting a tongue lashin' from the Captain, he spent th' resta 'is day making our lives miserable.....Th' little brat ergh... gentleman... ordered me ter do somethin' wot couldn't be done,(I was doin' somethin' else, and couldn't follow 'is (stupid/childish order at the time)) an' I got lashed fer insubordination..... Night watch.... th' little brat ended up wit a rag stuffed down 'is throat anna buncha cannon balls tied inside 'is breaches... little #$(@* couldn't swim very well after I tosed 'im ov'r th' side..... I jumped ship an' jined up wit th' Pyretes.... SO now I'm jus' 'nother scummy Pyrate.........

Well... it wouldn't be a new forum, but a new thread or topic.... Just by starting it, you become kinda in charge.... well if it gets outta hand, then a moderator would have to step in.... POST NEW TOPIC.... you already figured that out.......Find a good place for it, The CROW'S NEST might not be the best place ... but the Moderator can move it for you...post the rules (you kinda gots to keep it sorta PG-13....) and have at it....

This really doesn't belong in TWILL, ...I'll post it somewhere else if I get more of it done... I was thinking about Mission's post about the food Pyrates ate, and how interesting the Early period of Buccaneering was... exploring and learning new things (like what you can eat..., and what can eat you... ) A role-playing game about the period wouldn't have the same level of mystery.... but what about a game that was based off the Buccaneers, but set in space? Kinda weird twist on History, but it would be an interesting way to get a feel for the real period.... I'll have to try and block out the rules, and see if it works.... if so, I'll let anyone interested know where I finally post the rules.... <the weird things that float through my head at 4 in the morning when I can't sleep...... >
