We live in the Dundalk area of Baltimore Co. About 30 to 40 minutes from fair. We will have printed out directions to give to everyone at fair. If you want to hit mapquest on your own ahead of time, the address is.... 8041 N. Boundary Rd. Baltimore Maryland 21222 Karen and I will have the directions from mapquest printed out for all who are coming. Send me and e-mail if you want a phone number . 11:00 sounds like a great time to meet everyone... Gute... we'll drop back around 1:30 to meet you there as well... If any of you want to get a cell number , you can call when you arrive if we miss you. This way, we do not spend all of fair rolling around just trying to get everyone together. I had a very central location and time last year and it still fell apart with everyone coming at different times. Also, don't forget, to any who show up before the gates open, we will be there on the lookout for all of you..... Keep me informed... Also, I need to know how many are planning on coming here after fair. It looks as if most have decided to go to the encampment instead.. Just let us know, so we know how much food to have on hand. Why Sjorovern... why you ask?????. the answer is simple.... because he was the only one sober on the day of shooting...... I thought it was welll done. I enjoyed Mayor O'Malley being there. He didn't relate much history, but, he did give a good show with a lot of energy. It's pretty hard to truly relate a multi-year war in only two hours, but, I thought it was very well done.

Hawkyns,..... Glad to hear you'll be there this year. Can't wait to meet Gwen... Remember to bring your shower kit if you want to freshen up after the fair.. That is if your planning on coming over afterwards... Either way, it will be great to see you again... Flint

If you are using leather for the wrap, heres an idea. With my own swords, I had the end of the wrap tucked behind the very last turn on the hilt and added a bit if hot glue under it to help hold it in place. I have fought heavy combat with these for several years now and have yet to have one come loose.......... Just a thought... By the way, yours turned out looking so nice, would you be interested in doing another. For a fee of course.... keep me posted...

Jut a thought Harbormaster... If you want a better grip, you might want to wrap the actual hilt with leather. It will prevent slipping and allow you a very very secure grip. You will have to check the thickness before you finish the wrap. Otherwise, you will have a hilt so thick, that you won't be able to get your hand in it.

A fine looking piece of work Harbormaster.. Let me know how well it performs. The quillions worry me a little based on how they look... But, like I say, that is based on thier look. Let me know how well they hold up also. Otherwise, you did a really fine looking job there mate.

To all me shipmates interested.... We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the whithart tavern around 1...... something... For all interested.. Katey and I will be there before the gates open and would love to see any who get there early.... If we see you then great.. If you are interested... and are there early..... we will head directly to the blacksmith , as we slowly walk through the main street, just after the gatesd open. We will be there for a short time to see if any show up. Elsewise... we will see all of you later at the tavern..... I will be wearing black boots with brass buttons... dark green pants.. an oatmeal color shirt with a black capts. coat , a dark blue sheer head scarf with skull and crossbones on it and a black felt cavalier hat. There will be me , Katey . and our two wee ones ( one in a stroller ) and I will have the same head scarf material as a arm band.... We should be easy to pic out... We can meet you at the fair or if you want to crash here on Friday evening and leave out with us in the moren thats fine also. Whatever is best for you, simply let us know and we'll be there. Alright shipmates.... Fair Katey and I are getting everything ready for pirate weekend at fair. I have read a lot of the post and can see who is planning on coming. I understand there is an encampment and social planned for after fair, wich sounds great also. Unfortunatley, Katey and I will not be able to attend. We are still planning on a little get together here at the house for all interested. If you would like to drop by and hang out a bit after fair , please let us know, so that we can better set up for everyone. For pirate weekend, Fair Katey and me are reminding everyone that there will be a wind down here at the house after the saturday fair. We live about 30 to 40 minutes from fair and are more than happy to have everyone over after fair. All are welcome and remember to bring your civies if you want a shower and a change after fair. We'll have some munchies and refreshments, but, feel free to bring whatever liquid you may desire, as I cannot promise to have the beverage of your choosing.. Bess, why would you want to place a note to this guy with your Disney server on it... If you were in such a worry about your job over discussing the POTC2 movie, wouldn't this be even more risky, not to mention extremely unethical. I really think that this is no big deal and I'm quite sure that Disney know about various people trying to sell phony POTC merchandis. It has happened in the past with other movies and no one losses any sleep over it. I agree that it is wrong and should be stopped, but, then there is a lot of wrong that should be stopped. We have it. It's cute and fun and we love it. Although , I believe that the earlier muppet movies were far better....... Muppet Treasure island is a good one and we love Time Curry,s music....... The Capt.
