  1. I would still think she'd be able to be converted to sail with a little work...
  2. Which quote is that, John? And I was thinking... it wouldn't take much modification to put *real* masts and riggin' on her...
  3. Kinda makes me wish I had a little money stashed away... This hull has *some* potential with a little work. In any case, it's not something you see every day on Ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...4503937299&rd=1
  4. Pynch, ye don't look a day over 30. ye can't be close to 40...
  5. aye, I knows how to pick'em she's german, by the way... hehe
  6. much much better, and as I said, if you want signature art, I could throw something together with your pictures, or I'm sure there are other people here who are good at that sort of thing too...
  7. because it was a promotional item given out probably at the premiere... those kind of things, even if inaccurate, are still valuable to a collector.
  8. But still... on many forums they limit the size of your signature art... and if ye don't comply, ye get kicked off. They may not do that here at the pub, but it's still a bit inconsiderate to take up a good 18+ inches of page space with personal pictures. If ye want people to look at your pictures, 'tis all good and well... ye can post a thread fer that. But to have it in your signature line, where it posts them EVERY time you post? Have a little care for people with slower connections... it probably takes a 56k-er over a minute and a half to load a page containing so many pics, and that's with a single one of your posts. I have a multitude of pictures of meself and me crew, but ye don't see 'em in me signature, save for a single link to me website. As one member to another, PLEASE take them out of your signature? If you want signature art, I can make you one. And perhaps put a link or two to yer picture site as well. Now, I've criticized ye enough... time for some er... positive re-enforcement. Nice costuming in the pics there, very lovely.
  9. Chivalry as such was rarely what it is portrayed to have been... The Ideal of Chivalry is an honorable thing to seek, and I live by my own code of Honor, which I do not take lightly. But still... even the "Chivalrous" men of yore were not always so honorable. And I have to agree about the "glorified rape" scenario... especially in these days and times when children are oft raised without an ounce of respect or moral value, and often read things in books, or see them in movies and then decide to go and try them because their parent(s) don't take the time anymore to teach the child right and wrong, and almost any form of discipline these days is wrongfully construed as "abuse". And no, I am not blaming movies and books for our children's anarchy. I blame the CPS, who can take a child away from a loving home because said child recieved a spanking, and then let a known abusive drunk of a father murder his 3 month old child after repeated reports of abuse. I also blame the parents. But even still... ANY form of rape scenario should not be "glorified" in ANY *fantasy*. Just my 2 shillings...
  10. You said to be blunt... blunt I'll be... I likes nice plump breasts... If I gets a chance to see them bared, I like small, well-formed nipples... on a well-rounded breast it's just kind of a balance... the bigger areola turn me off a bit. narrow waist, pretty smile... But when a red-haired maiden or wench with green eyes (or blue for that matter, but mainly green) looks at me while biting her lower lip... I melt like butter. Then to the blazes with the rest of her... attractions...

FIRE IN THE HOLE! Blow the lubber out of the water!
  12. I have a wolf, a ferret, a ball python, a golden retriever, and 2 bengal cats (exotic breed of cat)... I can't afford a parrot... hehe Or a monkey, though I would think a monkey would make a very interesting pet so long as he/she was mild tempered.
  13. will this rumor ever die? It's been confirmed that he is *NOT* going to appear in either POTC 2 or 3... several times over now. hehe
  14. The people I rapier fight with fight for fun... though I haven't learned a "style", I do have one of my own. I also fight as though my life depends on it, and am pretty fair with a blade for a newbie. But I've opened a whole new door with my Gunnery crew... It seems that I've awakened a long-dormant interest in period-ish gunnery in my area. :)
  15. It depends on what I'm doing... If I'm fighting, I wear sweats. My *normal* pants are full length and baggy (for the moment). My *work* pants (when I'm setting up camp or other dirty work) are "poor-mans" knee breeches, which are basically an altered pair of modern semi-baggy slacks. Course... I'm not what ye'd call a re-enactor either...
  16. More of a curved saw blade than a sword really...
  17. *Sits back on the couch, munching on a big ol' bucket o' popcorn*
  18. the SCA's a tad different... it's not a re-enactment group per-sey... it has it's full range of people... but there are the dregs of people who show up, dressed in mundane clothes the whole event, who don't even leave their own camp except to use the privy, who are only there to sit around the fire and drink, wearing mundane clothes and bitching about politics and the like... they don't *enjoy* any aspect of the event, and they don't *contribute* to it at all, they don't leave there camp, the just want to sit and drink... stuff they'd be more comfortable doing at home. Now me, on the other hand... I contribute and I party... usually at the same time, I do my best singing after a couple rounds and I don't see anything wrong with a party... just something wrong with those who ONLY show up for the party.
  19. It's called hype... you ought to see some of the wierd rumors about the Star Wars movies that hit "official" articles... That, and Bess know's what she's talkin' about
  20. Me and my crew have spent the past couple of events doing our stuff during the day, and revelling the night with various alcohols... but we go to events to have fun for the event's sake, not for the party. People who attend events only for the party or the "free" alcohol? We'd be better off if they'd just stay home.
  21. It just sucks... cold weather makes the knees hurt, stiff back, etc... I was supposed to stay young forever!
  22. If'n ye ever find yerself in oklahoma... we'll kidnap ye and take ye to a place where ye'll be plied with more alcohol than ye could possibly drink... Either that, or I'll save some of the special rum fer ye that some o' me crew brings back from Costa Rica e'ry year... But ye'll get a tip one way r' another... I am also thinking of using the symbol as my logo... I make muscle balm and brew mead and stuff like that...
  23. I'm 24... though with the injuries I've sustained, I have the body of the average 35 year old...
