  1. I would try going to the main page of Crossroads website. It's the first link listed on the top of the page by clicking on Loyal Order....
  2. I was watching the trailers at Yahoo for this. I get a wee bit excited watching Clive Owen play Walter Raleigh, privateer. You can view all the trailers here: Nothing but the horizon. but scroll down to Number 8, Nothing but the horizon. Now that calls to a pirate's heart.

  4. Well, I may have 40 year old cleavage, but it still tastes the same. Did I say that with my outside voice.
  5. Last I heard, Disney was getting ready to pull it from Castaway Cay for repairing. I'll have to check my sources to see if it's still there. I was planning on a visit in May 2008.
  6. Oh, now, errmmmm (as Barber-Surgeon would say) cough cough cough.
  7. Flogging might relieve the anger, but a bottle of rum would do more for forgiveness I suspect, if'n I remember Durty Mick Moon correctly.
  8. Was that a freudian slip or did you really think that was his name?
  9. Thank you, oderlesseye, fer sharing yer pics. I see lovely Scarlet MacBayne made it as well and I love Bunny Cutlass's new hat. How many are going up next weekend?

  13. brag brag brag. What I want is a copy of that poster.
  14. Iron Bess, I'm bringing my penny whistle, may I annoy in? I mean join in?
  15. Well, not from ABC. NBC's summer program "Thank God You're Here." It's kinda of like Drew Carey's old show "Whose line is it anyway?" Improvisational comedy skits using 'b' list celebrities as guests. I'm a big fan of these types of shows.
  16. A> B>Only the guy in the pink shirt counts C-he & D-she> Group shot to helps ye out.
  17. Alas, Graydog, my coinage and energy level is low after Tallships and Oceanside. It was very nice meeting you and your mates. I hope you had a grand time on the sail. I was so busy this weekend, I barely ate anything which turned out to be a good thing. (Bucket bricaded)
  18. Aye, Liberte' was one of those who chummed on the Retch Spirit, but I understand she did it with quite pizazz. Both arms out flung, one foot lifted daintly behind her while spewing forth over the rail. Or so was told by Barber-Surgeon, Toes Up, and Ruby. Aye, we'll be at Oceanside. I'll be mating for Harper on the new 6lb and Ruby will be on shore. She's a land pirate now.
  19. Rumba, I was wondering what happened to you. I'm sorry things didn't work out on the vending side. The event is getting so big; it is having serious growing pains. I'm still recovering myself. I ended up jumping ship from the now re-named "Retch Spirit" aka Ketch Spirit and was called for duty as Gunner's mate on the Spirit of Dana Point. The seas were choppy and more than a few ships had chummers, The Spirit as well, but alas I was not one of them. My adrenalin was too pumped for me to feel the swells left from Hurricane Henrietta. I'm sun and wind burned and am headed off to catch up on my sleep. I need to be back in working order by this weekend for Oceanside. Now this event is going to be a pirate event.
  20. Aye, and Black Rory Harper says "Thank You" to Stynky. The will be a new arrival to celebrate at Oceanside. Gun Master Harper will be bringing out his new 6lb gun for the show. Expect some loud broadsides on the Spirit of Dana Point and Californian.
  21. Wow, that is impressive. I have to show this to the boys at the AZYC. Thanks Coastie.
  22. Studio City Tattoos - California Swashbucklers converge on Studio City to Celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day Buccaneers, pirates and swashbucklers from all over Southern California, San Francisco and even Oregon will gather in Studio City Wednesday, Sept. 19, to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day. They'll convene from noon to midnight at Studio City Tattoo “Ye Olde Tattoo Shoppe," 11032 Ventura Blvd. The event is free and open to the public. Talk Like a Pirate Day is celebrated by millions of people throughout the United States and around the world on all seven continents – even at the South Pole! It's a day when – just like the name says – people are encouraged to swash their buckles and talk like a pirate. This is the third year Ye Olde Tattoo Shoppe has hosted a Talk Like a Pirate Day celebration, and each year the event gets bigger. This year's event includes live music by Captain Kula’s Pirate Band, pirate sword fights, fire breathing, and an appearance by the founders of the holiday themselves – John "Chumbucket" Baur and Mark "Cap’n Slappy" Summers, from Albany,OR. Baur and Summers are two friends who started Talk Like as Pirate Day as a joke, then, as they say, "took the idea way too far." Since their idea first came to the world's attention in 2002 they've had a book published, have performed in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle and New Orleans, their Web site – www.talklikeapirate.com – has taken tens of millions of hits, and they've appeared (with Baur's wife, Mad Sally) on ABC's "Wife Swap." They will be signing copies of their book, "Pirattitude!" during the event. Throughout the day, the Studio City tattoo parlor will provide small pirate tattoos, which normally cost $80, for $40. The schedule of activities includes: "Ho"stess with the mostess The Scarlett Harlott!!from PIRATESFORHIRE.COM Noon – Pirates performing a full-fledged sword fight 5 to 9 p.m. – Captain Kula’s Pirate Band of Disney fame will perform. 9:30 – Ted Shred from piratesforhire.com AND THE CREW!!Will be breathing fire 9:30 ish pm Vendors, food, music, pirates and tattoos For more information on the international holiday

  24. First: You can't bathe in the Lake. It's a reseviour lake for LA drinking water. You can run your gasoline guzzle, pollution spewing motor boat on the lake, but you cannot swim in it. Second: There is a fee for camping outside the faire in the campgrounds. The fees are based on the amenities of your campsite. Here is a link to the campground information. Lake Casitas Recreation Area Third: There is showers available for a fee at the Marina. The Marina is located down the campground road from the Group Site which is where the faire is located. Hope this helps,
