I dont know if they know me that well or not (that is actually a joke), but I cannot get an approval for a user name and login, been trying for ages. Anybody know something I dont? Is it no longer a "joinable" forum? Not that it could EVER take the place of the pub!!!! Thanks, Wes

There is willow growing all over some of the areas I patrol...I wonder how hard it would be to ship? Longer branches in a mailing tube? Think they would dry out?

I am going to pick up some walnut, not sure if its black walnut or american or european? BUT, its about 2 feet wide, 5 feet long, and 4 inches thick...let me know if you need stock material. Its been sitting in a guys basement for around 10 years or so.......

Would you happen to know the overall length on those? And that kind of looks like an iron spike on the end?? Any ideas of what it really is? copper or brass perhaps?

I have not measured the bore with a mic yet, but I am fairly certain its a .75.....looks just like an old Jack Garner barrel I had a few years ago. Either way, a good sharp chisel (gouge) works too, I just take her pretty slow.....I also use candle soot or lamp black to find the high spots.

Heres 2 rifles I did.... Full Stock Kentucky style in a .40 cal.....german silver inlay: .50 cal smooth rifle, full stock Hawken style. Inlaid with brass patchbox and ivory (piano keys):
