  1. That was awesome! I'd love to see sheet music, or do you only have words?
  2. I like that a Raid calender. Squishes Roaches, and tells us what's up! I'm not East Coast, but I'm near it. :)
  3. Oh, Great Lottery Gods, send your great white numbered ping pong balls and your great Red Bonus Ball onto my ticket!. She's beautiful! It would give me reason to visit my sister for long stretches at a time if I has money to buy her. I love that she's unusual. It means we would be a fitted pair. :) I'd probably do a Pirate cruise on her. *grins* Yo Ho Boy-os hoist the rigging, put yer backs into it! They do a cool enactment of what it was like to live on the MayFlower, would be neat to do a Pirate style one. *grins* Best friends dad was a tub boat man. He was as hairy as he was scary!
  4. I'd be willing to do what I can. I'd try and donate some wearables if the money is going to a good cause.
  5. You know yoru too pirate obessed when you bring home a taco bell hot sause that says, "Polly want a Taco?"
  6. It rums...I mean runs, Sept (starting three day) through October ending a week before Halloween.
  7. Consider getting a red one and bleeding black dye into. :) I read they were actually reddish black. Like dried blood. Would be a cool effect, kinda rustic, with streaks of red undertoning the black. If you aren't handy, I can always try my hand at it. That would be a lot of fun. :) I can double applique on my machine, and also duel tone the threads. Oooo anything to use it!
  8. If you haven't missed it already, check it out. It's hysterical. :) MadTV 11:00pm on Fox. :)
  9. Well, come on out for the Faire this year. :) Hubby and I are planning on being there more this year, since we didn't get to go at all last year. I'm about an hour from the Faire itself, and I can offer up help if you want to make a weekend of it, and get a hotel near it. The hotels near where we live in Cincy tend to be cheap also. If we end up buying a house in the near future I can always offer floor, if you aren't allergic to cats. :)
  10. I was aware of him signing, this was the first time I heard the director actually say publically anything about both. :) But thanks for the heads up!
  11. Heck, BOTH! Woooo Jack Sparrow and Johnny Depp, one serious, creative, booding...and other a fyne pillager! I don't think any good pyrate lass would turn down both now would ye?
  12. On E! I spoted Jerry Buckheimer talking in an interview how the are going to shoot POTC 2 and 3 together if Johnny Depp is a go. He also said, since Johnny loves Jack Sparrow so much, we shouldn't be worried that that will be a possiblity! Woooo!!! Sorry if it's a double post!! I saw that before I went to bed! Izzy
  13. That's only about two hours from me! Wooo! :)
  14. Paisley, your evil, but in a very very good way.
  15. Anyone else in Ohio, and go to Ohio Ren Fest?
  16. I'm glad to hear that these are doing so well! I'm definately getting some now! :)
  17. HE wants to remeet Sparrow? Sheez Johnny WE all want to meet him, and plunder him and do things to...and...oh sorry..internal dialogue has gone...all wrong....*steps back, whistling, then runs.*
  18. I've got a lot of Kevin O'Hare's stuff from Fellowship Foundry, and it's not nearly as soft as you think. It's very sturdy, and well made. :) Most good manufacturer's have a tendancy is casting Pewter like Silver or Gold, thin. But Fellowship casts it heavy, and well made. :) Their cups are expensive, but well made, and can be reformed if the worst things happen to them. (I've seen someone bring him one that was run over by a car, and he fixed it back proper.) I'll take a look when I'm on my travels this year, I'm always keeping my eyes out for Pirate stuff. :) If I find stoppers, and have extra money, I'll grab extras, or get business cards. :)
  19. That's a hoot! Be makin' sense since Keith was Johnny's inspiration! :)
  20. Rock on! :) Deluded lemon juice is a good fader too, the non-expensive version of Sun In. If you want to wear the hems, etc, you can use lightly metal sanders. If you've watched Martha Stewart at all she uses one for hazel nuts. use lightly, but it's a peach to make things look older. To keep it from fraing too much the stuff Fray check will keep it. Depends on how old you want it to look. :)
  21. Very very cool! :) I've book marked her for easy referance! :) Thanks for sharing, cause I'm always looking for extra stuff for my garb and for every day. :)
  22. Hm, I'd get a little worried it wouldn't work into the grain of the leather well enough, or if left in the car it might start to sofen all your work. Check out milliner supplies for stiffening, or even leather suppliers for what they use to stiffen but leave supple their leathers.
  23. Well, we can add to what you have, or redo some of it, if needed. :) A good bodice should be flattering. Most folks have a hard time with ladies of a bigger stature, because we have extra this and that, that needs to be sofened. Also we need more boning and durablility with comfort to boot. My Pirate costume for Ren is basically an irish dress shortened, with ruffle necked chemise, and sleeves, boots, the all important bloomers (not period, but without them I'd be an unhappy wench.) Irish dresses waist lines are cut higher than the normal bodices. Since the waist is rounded, if you are pear shaped it can be a little unflattering. I remember when I got my first one, I was horribly upset, but as I lost weight it became better. So, I suggest an irish that holds, but isn't as tight as a normal bodice. Normally I wear the typical english get up like you. Two skirts, a long chemise, bodice, and bloomers. I'll snood my hair, and wear a big straw hat, which I'm planning on caring when I open. There are great options, and ideas, and a good cut bodice is like a good suit, it's worth every penny, and makes you feel like a million bucks. :)
