Ahoy there to all. I'm looking for anyone who may have any information on how to make a sword baldric. I have some knowledge of leatherworking and would be interested in making a sword baldric to go with a cutlass I will be looking to get eventually. Any assistance would be greatfully appreciated. I was wondering if any of you guys who are going to lockhouse(this weekend), would have any buttons youd be willing to sell to me?(of the pewter or brass varienty) Though i could indeed order some off the net... i only need about 10 of them(so im resistant to making an order and paying for shipping), so id rather just buy them off a good hearted pyrate.....or steal them of a corpse...which ever is more pyrate-like.......

Arrrr right, Now it's my turn to step up with a version of the Cartouche Box. In keeping with an older thread in "Twill" about how not all boxes would be exactly the same as the Whydah box, here is the start of my hybrid Whydah/Phips box. Whne complete you will have your choice of wooden liner or no liner. It's gonna fit a 3" belt, and if someone wants I can even adapt it to a shoulder sling. No this really don't belong in "How to Address a lady" (Widow Phips.... reaching, but, hey ...) It's not finished yet, but, it's comin' along nicely though. closed .... open .... always tryin' new stuff!

Just took these off the lathe. They'll do double duty as a shipboard tool or another weapon in a pinch. The longer one is 13" long and goes from 7/8" tapering down to 3/4" The shorter one is about 12" long and tapers form 3/4" to about 5/8" These can be made to your specs, would need to know the largest diameter rope on your ship.
