Ransom
LOL Yeah, I could row out in my "girly-girl" garb and call to the vic..er, visitors, "Yooo hoooo" (picture Pintel and Regetti in PotC I) Okay, I volunteer to be navigator. When I'm in town, that is. Am I posting in the dark, here? Okay, I guess there could be more than one pilot. As ye be sayin' When yer in port... I was being a bit grumpish last night(too much wine, meybe? ). Anyway, shared duties of pilot, or you can take on the task of Harbor Master, either works fine for me. As for getting paid for piloting, weeell, if we're luring..er..umm..bringing them in for "trading purposes" then I think a percentage of the take would work fine for me. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... Capt. Sterling
Why not have them pay the proper fees, tariffs, etc. first after safely getting them into port THEN relieve them of their cargo? Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
As I see it, we good and loyal citizens and entrepeneurs of the Town, should put up the fort and gaol, and man it with our *ahem* finest representatives of law and order and not "tax" the resources of the good Captain Sterling and crewe. They will have their hands full keeping our competition...er-umm... those (other)pesky pyrates away from our intended vict... ummm... in-bound shipping. (We of the town can then busy ourselves collecting tax collectors and putting them up in our fyne gaol, then when it becomes necessary for Sterling to make a local raid on our party to appease the Crown and keep up appearances, we just slip the tax collectors into the noose in our stead as our people take to the woods through the sally port! Then we gibbet the unfortunates as a "reminder" to those whose intentions are of pyratical nature what becomes of them in our good city. Everybopdy remains happy - except the tax collectors of course - I love being diabolical!!!) Bo (smuggler and part-time political advisor) Edited January 28, 2010 by Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
