Skull pyrate Carter Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Yeah, Oderless I have that one too. Pyrate Petee and us will be up the second weekend (Red Jamie is in Florida right now), and Ace you know we will definetly stop by. We couldn't afford to go both weekends and our schedules allowed only the second.
Captain Jim Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Get creative, ya dock wallopin' lubbers! Take two pictures and apply Photoshop! Then you can all be in the same place at the same time when you're not. Weekend one, have everyone pose to the left of a fixed object and on week two have them all pose on the right. Just don't have anyone from week one in the second "to be 'Shopped" picture. Or put em in and confuse everyone. My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
Rumba Rue Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 First weekend of Ojai looks like it will be cool and possibly even wet - rain! That has never happened for the Sept. event! I suggest a 1:00 PM gathering for the benefit of Ace doing stage shows.
Ransom Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Yeah, I just had a friend who lives in Thousand Oaks e-mail me and warned me to dress for rain. Go figure. I was trying to be prepared for God-awful heat, since that's what I heard the conditions were last year. I'll be okay, since I have a frock coat, but Chain Shot may have to resort to a mundain jacket if the weather turns really wet. Sooo, Capt. Jim, are you volunteering to do the photoshop chop & channel job? ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... Red-Handed Jill Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Two years ago, we had rain just before and just after Ojai. And we've run into it at other faires, so no biggie. It should be fine by Sunday.
1stMate Matt Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I have swords forsale there through Age of Chivalry. Alot of nice pirate cutlasses and sabers. I believe they also have a few pirate themed rapiers. they should still have some steel shields too. if you stop by to look at them make sure you tell them that Matt from Baltimore sent you. I suggest a 1:00 PM gathering for the benefit of Ace doing stage shows. Thanks fer the thought Rumba but the Pirates of Harbor Bay will only be making the second weekend. So no need to worry about time due to our shows. :) I was suggesting that those whats coming to the second maybe meet up in our area and take a shot the second weekend too! www.pirate4hire.com Pirates of Harbor Bay

William Brand Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Pirates...discussing rain as though it were a bad thing. Interesting. Fresh water at sea. Â Â Â
Rumba Rue Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 In the past when it's rained on the spring Ojai events, the site becomes a mud hole better known as 'Mudfest'.
William Brand Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Ahhhh...so more of a lower, West-end suburb of 1700s London than a true seaside pirate festival. I understand. I'm not a mud fan myself. Â Â Â
