A bit of both never hurt anybody. If ya go to an event, go FOR the event, but ye know there'll be partyin too. Ye might or ye might not be up for it. It was funny when I went to Alex Bay this summer. I kinda got the impression from talkin ta some people that the festival has been perceived as a big drinking binge in the town, and uncontrollable havoc everywhere. But experiencing it was totally different. It was very family oriented, and the outright partying was kept to the individual boats (not affiliated with the festival itself) on the St. Lawrence River, and a couple bars who had after-hour party postings in the front windows. In no way was it free-flowing booze all over town like people in the area had gotten the idea.

You know, Eisner wanted Main St. USA to be just like alot of today's American cities. So why not include the world's oldest profession?

Well mateys it seems the Disney has a cd out now that is like the "soundtrack" of the Pirates of The Caribbean ride. It has sound bites from the ride and some interview stuff with Walt etc.. I've seen it available at Laughing Place.com and I'm sure the parks have it too. But the price I've seen of over $30 makes me wary o'buyin it. Is it REALLY worth that much for 1cd albeit such a kewl ride? Is Disney rakin us again, or is it a wise expenditure? Any o'you mateys have this cd? Let me in on it if'n ye do.

FAVORITE SEASONAL MOVIES
Captain Tito replied to Capt. Westyn Elizabeth Roberts's topic in Pyrate Pop
OMG I loved that one!! Blast CBS fer not showin it anymore!! They should have sold it to ABC when they sold all the Charley Brown stuff to em so they could partner it up with The Great Pumpkin again they way it used to be. As for me? The original (with Vincent Price) The House on Haunted Hill. Plus a bunch of the others. -
Makes me wonder just how much of it they'll find now with a whole party goin after it
-
Ye bet m'lass. Gots strawberry, cherry, and chocolate. What 'bout ye Christine?? Anybody else too?
-
*"splut" goes one of Merry's balloons mistakingly hitting Laura and allowing Tito to escape. He swims over to the grotto where Christine is and crawls up on land. He builds a warm fire nearby and invites all over for some of those awesome gooooooey fruit pies made with the bread and filling enclosed in the irons* Who wants one???????

Pirate! *he says with a slick look on his face* (yah I know that was Jack's line, oh well. *keeps on tickling*)
-
*Laughing and getting drenched* Not yet you don't!!! *grabs her arms, wiggles out of the shoulder hold, gets a hold on her feet and tickles them mercilessly while letting the water cascade down over her head.*

Yah too many peeps like Hillary and Co. movin inta Westchester just to show off havin a mongo size house, makin all their mongo money and havin no care for the locality around them other than more more more. I've seen it in burb areas around 'Cuse, with more housing going all out. (wondering where are all the peeps that can afford them with all the job losses you hear about) Sad with such history to see the Sleepy Hollow area treated like that. *takes Laura back to the waterfall putting her feet under it first letting the water tickle them. brings them out turns around and lets it massage her hair and forehead. then he takes the plunge in and they break out in a splash war (aided of course by the falls itself)*
-
That is way too bad. But isn't there like a modern city/town of Tarrytown that has all the yahoo of today? I no thats not the same as the historical stuff but I was just wonderin. Sorry Doc, forgot about your legs with the water. *motions to Laura* Ok since none of the other gals will go lets just go one more time. *picks her up in his arms and carrys her toward the falls*
