What about this "Lead" vs "Non-Lead" ball material I have seen offered at several sites? Anyone have experience with this 'green world safe non-lead' shot?

Aye, I know Layalist Arms is good people for I have purchased from them before and have a pair o' buckle shoes being pounded out by th' cobbler at this very moment, nice people indeed and with Great communication! Good t' hear no drilling required as I no longer have me shop smith and would have t' seek one out who does, screws I can handle for sure (been divorced so I am a pro now! ) I do not think I have Middlesex Village on me list, I will look into them when I get home, but they are out...still worth the look. Aye, I have been t' Dixie Gun Works' site several times, would love t' build me own for I have much idea for customizing th' stock, e'en book marked some sites that sell brass trim'ings with nice scroll, leaf, and butt designs....but alas, as stated I no longer have access t' proper tools and shop as I did years ago, a 'kit' would be a nice way however. Also aye, I remember the talk about Doglocks from the Cutthroat training seminar, still have the hand out as well.

BUT, I would like t' hear from real owners, them pirates with experience and first hand knowledge. Being in California it seems the local pick'ns be slim so it seems like I will be ha'en t' mail order...? agree, disagree? I personally be seek'n as close t' GAoP model as possible, but not interested in the Queen Ann, I want Big'er! But lets open this to ALL with interest, lets hear from the wise on All Things 'Flint'; links, stories, descriptions, tips, cautions, warnings, excuses.... So step up mates, lets hear what ye ha've t' say bout these marvelous tools what go BOOM!

I was recently seeking 'period' style cuts as I have just began growing me own back out. Recalling from memory; it was around the 15th & 16th century that it was pretty much called for a man to have facial hair, it was a symbol that he was in deed a 'man'. Now this be mostly of religious belief as I recall and there was some prominent figures that 'taunted' society by going clean shaven. If I recall correct then it was not until around the 1800's that men began going clean shaved without ridicule or getting strange looks in public. As for the 'design' o' the cut; it looked pretty diverse from the articles I could find, but most all said that men who could not grow facial hair where frowned upon, even denied access into high seats o' power, especially from the 15th century and back. If you do a Google Search for 16th Century Beard Styles, also try 15th Century, there are some articles but pictures seem far and few between.

Well if'n they learn t' stow their ropes properly then perhaps they would not get so kinky....

They should do like ISPs do; whenever the forums are down they could just send each o' us a PM so we will be notified, this way no one will panic. When I worked tech support for Earthlink they used to send all customers an e-mail to let them know the mail servers were down and being 'diligently worked on', 'n the message would thank everyone for their patience 'n request they do not call Tech Support.

I found it in the No Quarter Given's event listin': No Quarter Given Just scroll down t' th' first big blue/white image on th' page. It be "Located right outside Lake Arrowhead" And it say "Best of all.. it's FREE!" (I think that mean we must kill someone first...) It go on t' say "Scheduled entertainment is Pirates of the Black Swan, The Doxie Chicks, Belly Dancing, a modern jester, face paintin' for whelps and much other swashbuckling entertainment" (I think that mean; much drink'n 'n debauchery along with some good old fashion brawl'n it does) Oh, 'n it also say "Camping and other overnight accomodations are within stumblin' distance" (I think that mean that get'n drunk is mandatory by code for sure)

One more week t' th' Pirate Annie Goldielocks 'n' Three Buccaneer Bears faire!! Looks like Mcdraco and I will be carpooling up, I have room for 1 (possibly 2) more if anyone else would be interested in splitting the cost o' fuel? My route currently takes me from Pasadena going SouthEast along 210-fwy then divert South on either 605 or 57 down to area of the 5-fwy & 91, then on up t' Big Bear. If anyone be along that route and be capable o' sailing under command o' a pirate then step forward! Be hasty now mates, look lively, first come first serve! Oh, I be headn' out 'bout 7am, plan t' reach Mcdraco (5/91) 'bout 8/8:30, reach Big Bear hopefully by opening time at 10am, WILL STAY to closing at 6pm. *NO Monkeys 'n' NO Parrots Allowed on this voyage, they tend t' mess on the upholstery 'n rip the trim decor off me ship

I once cracked open a bot'le o' rum, 'n when I pulled the cork there was a sudden rush o' cold air against me face! For th' rest o' th' night, with e'ery sip I took th' glass went down TWICE th' amount!! By th' end o' th' night I reach'd th' end o' th' bot'le when suddenly....a coin just appear in th' bottom o' th' bot'le, then when I turned it o'er to see th' coin a rolled parchment fell out it did! I thought "A map!!" but nay, when I read the parchment it say; "Thanks fer the soul lad, see ye soon"

With my luck mine would be a poltergeist, it would get out through some crack in th' seal and then my TV would only get snow and make crackling noises all night long e'en when turned off, then th' stink'n ghost hunter would charge me double to re-capture it again....probably using a toaster at that! When a man's jawbone drops off it's time to reassess the situation. My body is a road map of pain. I gotta have an out-of-body-experience, and I gotta have it RIGHT NOW!
