  1. Out of all the things I have, no one, I mean NO ONE is getting their grimey hands on my big black trunk! It's absolutely priceless to me! Big Trunk And if I die, and no one in the family wants it, it will go to auction, the proceeds to go to "Make-A-Wish" foundation.
  2. Hey at least now we know where the monkey from POTC ends up.
  3. I love my cats. First I can leave them at least one night or two and I don't have to worry about where they are going to poop/pee, they know where the two litter boxes are. And I can leave dry food out and know they aren't going to gobble it all down in one night. Course they are spoiled cuz I give them moist food in the evenings. I like dogs, I've had many in my years, but I wouldn't trade my cats for one. I have 5 cats. My oldest, Shadow, in her kitten years was a running gymnast who made her own race track through wherever we were living. She's calmed down now at age of 15, but still healty and still does her horrible meowing that sounds like a strangled cat. She still does her howling in the middle of the night and brings us her cat toys she likes and makes a nice path from the bedroom to the livingroom every night. But she's my Shadow since she followed me everywhere when I got her, hence her name, and she's all black. When it's cold at night, she'll want to climb under the covers with me on my left side and loves to knead and smell my hair. My next cat is Smoke who is now 14, he's big, he's fat, he's all grey except for a diamon of white on his stomach. This is a cat you can do anything to. He loves the attention. I like to say he's 'grey and underway' if he's kind of chasing the other cats. He's also a cat that likes sleeping on the bed, unfortunately, he's a big lump you can't move. And if you do manage to get him off the bed, he comes right back like a boomerang. Next is Magick who is now 6, who is the most beautiful cat I've ever seen. He's half Siamese, with the coloring of light orange on his ears, face and tail while the rest is cream colored and he has beautiful blue eyes (better known in the Siamese world as a Flame Point). He was born in my apartment after having found his pregnant Siamese mother here at the complex and taking her in until her kittens were born. Magick was the most whitest cat I have ever seen as a kitten, very unusual. Being born on the 21st of July, he certianly has the traits of a Leo and the crabbiness of Cancer. He is the only kitten I kept after turning over his mother and other kittens to the Humane Society. Next are my two cats, Kiki and Jasper, brother and sister who are now 3. Both were feral kittens born here at the complex, that I knew were different from other feral cats I've seen around. There was something special about them, so I set about catching them and succeeded. Kiki has long black hair and trots around here like a Queen with her tail up and bouncing, while Jasper is short-haired black, that has become my 'bed buddy' as I call him. Being a person who can't sleep alot of times at night, I will get up for awhile, then when I go back to bed, he's there and wants to be petted, now (even if it's 3 or 4 in the morning) and if I ignore him he'll paw at me till I do. It's taken a very long time for both of them to not run away scared and they like to play with all the toys I provide for my kitties, and be petted. All my cats are de-clawed. I know there's a lot of people who don't like that, but hey, I at least I can play with them and know I'm not going to get ripped to shreds. They can't rip up the furniture or other things---my parrot takes care of that position now . Also, with two litter boxes, which are cleaned daily, you won't find any stinky smell in my home!
  4. I don't make any resolutions. Cuz if I did, I'd have to kill you.
  5. Hmmm, what do I do for a living...hmmmm, I don't work, no real income except for SSI, guess I'm a computer sitter potatoe.
  6. Thanks for the info. I won a gift certificate to the place (at a party back in Sept.) and probably won't go until well into next year. I had heard they frowned on customers wearing costumes, but it's my understanding they will let you in with costumes and with weapons so long as they are piece-tied. I really wasn't expecting the food to be anything good. So no surprises there, but thanks for the warning and the knowledge about seating.
  7. The problem with Ojai is there are very few places to stay and they are extremely expensive! You can camp out in the outside parking lot if you have a tent/or vehicle to sleep in. That's why I would recommend the Escondido faire- not that it's a pirate faire (yet), but there's lots of decent places to stay here for people visiting from elsewhere.
  8. Personally I won't do the Palm Springs faire. Why? Because it starts on a THURSDAY and runs till Sunday. Means you have to get there on Wednesday to set up! It's too many days/nights, and I just can't do 4 days of that. Besides, hotel rooms aren't cheap there- sorry I don't camp for 4 days without a good bed and a shower. The group I was in use to do it, but having to take time away from jobs became too much of a problem and then Tom Wilson kept making the spot smaller and smaller until there just was no room for anything.
  9. ooooh thanks, I got two people I'd love to make dollies of and stick pins in!
  10. Unfortunately those of us who don't have those 'extra' pay shows on cable such as HBO, Showtime, or Hallmark, won't get to see it. I understand it's suppose to show on the Hallmark station...which of course I don't get....
  11. Well here it is Christmas Eve, got my rum and coke, enjoying the 80 degree weather here, ah Paradise! For the first time ever, Boat's sister and her family are coming here for Christmas day. I'm sure they will be talking about my place for years to come. From the string of lights diagonally across the ceiling with my Star Trek and Star Wars onaments and various interesting ornaments to the general decor mostly of a nautical type that adorns various parts of the place. I didn't want to do the usual ham or turkey stuff, so I have a bountiful Italian dinner to serve. Main dish, Chicken Parmasan, spagetti, extra sauce, garlic bread, salad, and a request from my friend Bob for that green bean casserole that seems to adorn many tables as a favorite. I kinda had a free-for-all when it comes to the dessert side. I made little lemon tarts (ok I cheated, I just filled those ready done little filo dough cups), and I tried to put Cool whip on top with a fancy decorator tip, didn't work, just sort of spread out...oh well, threw some red and green pastilles on top so they didn't look so weird. Then I have the apple-raisn bundt cake and some of the Bishop's Bread I make. Time to leave, so I wish you all good times, To all a good night.
  12. Just wanted to let ye know I received the braclet today, Christmas Eve. Made for a nice goodie. I like it! I was concerned it might be kind of wide, more like a man's type but it's not. Nice and slim and I like the way it closes and opens. Thank you!
  13. Hmmmm, may not make it to the AZ faire in the spring...$$ is the problem. What are the dates for the Devonshire Faire, and what part of Arizona is it in?
  14. It's Alive! It's Alive! (gawd I love Young Frankenstein)
  15. **Springtime for Hitler** hmmm, that's in the "Producers".
  16. Have a good trip! Will Diego be home on the 31st in the morning so I can drop off my food goodies? (I'm coming up early in the day to visit family and friends)
  17. Well you can see where my mind was as, as an entertainer that's the kind of things I think up. Ah well, Diego has different ideas....that's fine with me too. Games? Games? Ok, bring on the men!
