This issues cover features Errol Flynn as Captain Blood. There is a feature interview with his daughter Rory. Big thanks to Scarlett for that hook up. We added a few new colums aswell. One being "Blades of the Brethren". A pirate sword column by me a sword maker of 11 years. I am excited. We have some realllllly nice articles these days and top notch contributers.

RumbaRue!!!

Mike called in for an update this afternoon. He says he is having a blast and that they sold out of magazines in the first 4 hours. He said he had never seen so many pirates in such awsome garb.

I do it all the time. You don't even need to tell them that its a sword. Just say "stage props".

Just got back. Had a horrible time trying to get our of Tampa. One delay after another and then we had to circle baltimore due to hail the size of golf balls. Other then that We had a great time once agian. Glad to see alot more pirate groups and vendors this year. Got to taste some new rum and share some of Troll's Special home made goodies. Was great having you there Honour. We always can put those boots to work :) hurricane a pleasure as always. Many thanks to Suzie for the awsome rooms at the Sunset Vista in treasure island and for putting on one hell of a good festival. Can't beat that resort and the location on the docks was a perfect pirate atmosphere. Also many thanks to the FPF gang for putting up with us all weekend. Glad to see everyone getting along. All the fighters did a great job. Got to hear many many of my swords ring all weekend long. I will have video and many pictures of all the fights up shortly after I get some shut eye.

Im headed to the Airport. Tampa here I come.

Mike our managing editor will be there with the Press Gang. Wish I could join. Next year perhaps.

Nice work Mr hand. I have been trying to figure a way to get Steam Punk into the magazine for awhile.

Callenish gunner maybe next year I will make enough swords to have some in your booth. Shared a neat time with the knife guy. Glad you traded for one of his pieces. I liked that guy alot. I hope to see him next year.

Mary that rocks. We always fly with our hats on so they dont get crushed and we get tons of questions. I think I may have to try full garb on the way to Tampa. Wish you had some pictures or even a youtue video of that.

Taboo

Thought I would give this a bump. The crew and I are heading down to treasure island Florida thursday afternoon and staying untill monday evening. Drop us a line if you will be in the area. Seems everyone got some great shots of the lovely Mary Diamond. We got some great shots as well. I am hurrying up to make some more swords for the Kentucky ren fest and then the Mag crew and I are off to John's Pass for the weekend. I will do my best to get the pictures that we are going to publish sorted and the rest up online before we leave. Once again thanks so much to the members of this forum. Last year we went and set up in he cove but we didn't know to many people. This year we were in a much more hidden area and we had sooO many friends stop by or stop us while we were out and about. I wanted to send a thank you to all of the Blackbeard event crew and to all the Pracy Pub members that made the festival wurthwhile. Special thanks to Pirate Pete and bbcddutchman for getting us into the show at such a late notice. We will make plans with you fellas alot sooner next year Thanks to Capt Thighbiter for the purchase of a new cutlass from me. Of course he picked the pricest one. I hope it works out well for you. Just got to my shop. I am about to fire up the forge and make as much stuff as I can for the show. See you in a few hours.

HAHAHAHAHAHA good post Steve. That Slappy is the best. I can't make it down during the day on friday but you can catch me at the ball. I will be there with Apple all day Sat and Sunday. Klaus will be there all day sat with his famous FEIGLING. Our period tent needs some patch work so we will not be set up in the cove this year. Make sure you stop by the magazine booth and let us know that you are from the PUB so we can get a good picture of you and chat it up. Cheers, Matt P.S.
