I too have been looking into a period press. I will share my findings as I go. I might end up making one myself. I am look enough to have a full metal shop. I just think it would rock to have a press at shows and be able to print something in front of crowd and give it to them.

Looks like a grand group. I will def have to mark the next event on my calender and make the trip.

Well I finished my review last night for the magazine. I like the game. I grew up on "pirates" for sega when I was little and I want every pirate game to be just like that. Sadly nothing compares to the old great. The Ship to ship combat is where I had the most fun. Sadly I didnt get enough time to mess around with the economy. It seems like that could be the best part of the game and hardly got to mess with it. I think the endless options for customizing your avatar and ship is great. I got to make a character that looked darn close to me in my garb. All in all its a good game. Few things that I think they could have added to make it better, but its fun. I will still be playing i for at least another month. Maybe I can do an update review on the website after I get into it more. What is you favorite part of the game ?

I have been playing on Rackham. Still getting the hang of it. Seem to be quite an easy game. Sometimes its a bit buggy on the login. Seems fun. I am Captain Slim Matty on there. If you see me be sure to shout !

NQG will always be the best. They were the first and they will always be around. We try our best to put out a piratical magazine that has a little bit for everyone. For those of you that were not impressed with the latest issue I ask you to hold your opinions until you rest your eyes on this next issue. This will be the first issue that I am officially involved with and I think this next issue will be the best by far. We are working hard to bring great historical content with a mix of what’s going on with today’s re-enactors and festivals. Last issue was a catch up issue with the festivals we have done recently. Look for just a touch of that in the future. Having me onboard with the magazine ties in a lot of re-enactors that have networked with Kerry and I over the years. Cheers! p.s. PM sent Mr. Young.

Wow. What a party. We took hundreds of photos. We had a blast. It was a shame that there wasn't too many reenactors or even good fantasy costumes. I counted the real pirates on one hand. That made for alot of photo opps with the crowd. We plan on getting more involved next year in some way or another. Pictures and short story coming soon. Stay tuned.

Pirates Magazine will be there again this year. I know a few fight masters that will be doing a killer cutlass fight. That alone would make it wurth going. Our crew will be split in half though due to our New Orleans trip but we wish everyone in Baltimore a great time.

Shame you aren't doing real ink this year. I am making some real special items this year for the Con. Heavy Metal in full effect !

The Leather wrap is for our stage combat production line. We have found over the years that it is the best handle for long-term abuse. That being said, we do just about any kind of handle that you can think of. We do antler, bone and all kinds of wood handles. When we get into handles other then leather it tends to start to get pricey. The leather we use is top-notch expensive stuff but it allows us to make a durable handle, fast. Time is money in the sword business so the less time we have in a piece the lower we can keep our prices and we try to pass on the best price for stage combat weaponry in the business.
