Here is the blade blank 100% ready for the edge bevels. You can see I pulled the back edge back quite a bit. From here I will edge it, file it and heat treat it.

I dont know about real drunken fights, but I do know that it takes a ton of skill and practice to do a sword fight while looking drunk. I have seen many try such a fight at show, but not too many can pull it off.

Last night I found a video that I forgot about taking at last years event. It has quite a few pub members in it.

Here is what I think is an original thought. What about a prequel? Go back and tell the story before the first movie. I think we would all like to see more of Barbosa and there he will be an up and coming captain. The paying public gets to see Jack Sparrow and we all get saved from Miss Swan and the blacksmith. Sort of the Hobbit of the POTC series.

I believe we use Silicon as well. Evendor to be more exact.

I made a short video of casting some bronze eagle heads today. Thought you might get a kick out of it. Shame I didnt get a picture of some of the PC swords that got mounted with the eagles before they went out, but you get the idea.

This shows why I love this pub. You guys rock. I myself need a beard. Believe it or not most people want to see the blacksmith they are buying from to look like what they have pictured. Most picture a burly beard on a smithy.

I am way behind in my posting because my net has been down. So I am going to try and get cought up. Here is the knife blade deburred, stamped and ready to be edged. As seen here it has a 80 grit finish. ..Next step is reshaping the flase or back edge a bit. I like to pull that radius back a bit. Then edging. BTW. The blade is 14" from tip to shoulder.

Seems my waste above my hips is 34" and my chest is 38" just under my nipples. not sure exactly how to measure myself...
