Taking advantage of the mild Autumn weather we are having, it was only proper to use it to fullest measure. The images following are from a town called Denton, north of DFW. The grounds are listed in the Texas Historical ledgers and contain sites from the Texas Revolution through World War II. I have always had an appreciation for old "Cities of the Dead"; the art and architecture to be appreciated within. Here are a couple examples of what I captured....

I had a relation such as yours recently passed. The family was apalled when I asked were the champagne was in celebration, then tsked at them all and said I was only saying what they were afraid to...Wretched individual that one was. But I caution on carrying out the Grave Dancing...

What are you reading right now ?

I am finishing a Trilogy that tells Pride and Prejudice from Fitzwilliam Darcy's point of view by Pamela Aidan. Volume One, An Assembly Such As This, was well done; Volume Two, Duty and Desire , was well enough. The third, These Three Remain , is much more kindred to the first volume. A Classic from another angle when done correctly, is quite a pleasure to delve into. I read another called A Far Better Rest retelling A Tale of Two Cities that I found enjoyable. Every now and again you happen upon one that does the original justice.... -

For me it is always a matter of timing...But is that not always the case when taking a shot? -

I saw this tiny Gent and blinked twice, rubbed mine eyes and blinked again. My Manx, ( also a rescue), was a dead ringer for your fellow Sam when she was his age. (Brought her home at five weeks.) This is what she became as an adult. (Horribly spoiled and such a poser....) I wish I had pics of her on file so I could show the similarities, (sans tail, of course), most uncanny. You are a good man, William. May Sam be as much a joy to your lives as Creole is to my own. -

And might I add, a fine gathering of folk to be in proxy of. Much merriment to be had when in their company. A more warm hearted or whimsical lot one would be hard pressed to find.

You are all too kind with you compliments. Please accept my humble thank you. **Doffing hat with deep flourished bow** Capitane Sterling...Now, now. I see not a splash of blood about. And we all know how endearing Monsieur Burke is to your own self. Madame Diamond...As always, your appreciative eye is flattering to the ego. Just be careful, those two are far from needing too much encouragement before they are impossible to live with. Mademoiselle Barbossa...Merci beaucoup! We are quite aside ourselves with such fount of kindness being directed in our proxy. And such kindness should always be awarded in proper manner. When next we meet, your libation is on my tab. ( I will simply call it a "buisness" write off.) Again, merci beaucoup. Madame Tamer les Chats....Alas, the hair was not of proper standard to be donated to Locks of Love...Though I wish it had been otherwise. ( They would have received well over six inches worth of legnth.) I am pleased that you count the adornments a proper feasting for the eyes. Merci, Madame Lys Lys. (But then, we all know you have refined tastes. ) Bijou...I could not very well allow that Irish imp into proper company in a strange village not properly clothed. (And wouldn't you know, there was Sangria on one of the sleeves when handed back into mine possession. ) Have no fear of my Paon crown being taken...The second day found the Irish "Dandy" in common working attire and happy as a pig in mud. Flintlock's indication? A well turned calf, of course. Ah Monsieur Tar...I fear Devon gets a tad offended to being approached with exposed blades of any nature in another's power. Duhbs and dirks seem to be conjured from thin air and applied with proper bearing. What can I say, once a thief and cut-purse, always one.

SMIRK And another of Jack and a friend of ours who owns the establishment in the background.... I love the Owling Trade...It means one can wear BOOTS!! Sabastian eyed the other with amusement dancing dark visual pools and chuckled softly, "Very well, Monsieur Neede, on the morrow it is. Though as to sending your young friend with the requests...." a smile of more feral facets disturbed verbose briefly. "You may find that acquisition of his destination might prove more fool's errand than success." Coat sleeve was focused upon momentarily, "Generally speaking, he might become quite distracted with frustration in the pursuit of such. Hide and seek is rather an art that is not so easily set aside with childhood's loss...I might rather recommend, that your young friend deliver his dossier into the keeping of Monsieur Talbot, proprietor of the Dancing Stag. He, in turn shall make it known to myself." With modest bow, Dauphin turned to gain door proximity. Right hand resting on handle, glance was cast over shoulder to where companion watched on. "There is no need to seek me....I will most assuredly find you."

Most intriguing... I shall be most curious to see Burton's twist of this tale. ( One, I dare say, I have always relished. ) The cinematography is pure Burton and he does well with things of darker natures. The casting looks quite well chosen; though I raise a brow, ever so slightly, to his choice in a Musical rendering. ( Mind you, I have no issues with such. But, do wonder how well it will be accepted by the masses. )

Price is inconsequential... The words played as sweetly to Dauphin's hearing as would delicate coaxing of notes from a lute. Nod was given almost as an afterthought to the Other's next statement. Moving to desk's edge, Sabastian leaned forward to finger tip support upon wooden surface. His expression lay calm as tranquil water's surface and dark eyes scrutinized companion's demeanor with careful deduction. "Then it only remains to be brought forth what it is that your wants are in entrepreneurial pursuits, Monsieur Neede...." The words hung the air momentarily before followed further. "I do believe that if such were applied with pen to parchment, a contemplation of the said might be easily weighed." Clever smile caused rippled upon stoic waters and another nod of smallish proportioning was issued, "Very little is out of the question with the parameters you have set...." Sabastian regained full height, clasping hand to wrist behind his back. "A listing of you desires is what I require....Then we can discuss what such things deem proper in the way of exchange."
