*smooches* for Animal

Can we all get them. They look so comfy. We could start a crew trend?

Thanks Christine. Thankfully I had a wonderful surgeon and have been pain free for 6 years now. I still get twinges and aches sometimes but nothing to take note on. You might also want to consider seeing a physical therapist. They would be able to give you some simple exercises that will help strengthen your spine. That helped me quite a bit.

awww, Animal. You have something much more valuable to me. The thought of those wonderful fuzzy whiskers of yours makes me smile. What greater gift could I get.

Christine, Living with chronic back pain is like living in hell. Back pain and I go way back. I've had a two spine surgeries including a fusion of my lower spine. In all honesty, wearing a corset makes my back feel great. Usually after several hours on my feet, my back aches and I'm miserable. But not when I'm in my stays. I get wonderful lower back support. I guess it would also depend on what type of corset or bodice you are wearing. Stays come down past the waist so they do provide back support. I can imagine that if I wore a bodice that stopped at the waist, I could see where a problem could occur. Getting a better mattress might make a world of difference for you. I had to sleep in a recliner for almost a year because I couldn't take the pain of sleeping in my bed. We eventually got a select comfort mattress and I was able to sleep like a normal person again. If you have been seeing a chiropractor for quite some time and aren't getting relief, you might want to consider seeing a different type of doctor. Someone that deals in sports medicine might be of help to you or see an orthopedist. I did not have good results from a chiropractor. They actually made my condition worse. Best of luck to you. I hope you find relief soon.

Here's a picture you might find interesting. It's from Jamestown, VA. Note the slanted sides and small size. Another Jamestown chest inside a house

You're most welcome. Glad to help. I think you will find that closer to the event everyone will start posting their plots and plans and will chime in on what they are bringing. Most things can be purchased in town. There are plenty of stores on Duvall street and groceries stores are a short distance away. ps. Insoles for your shoes, boots, whatever you are wearing on your feet are a must. Even with insoles, if your feet don't hurt when you are through, you didn't do it right

Kian, I think I can answer some of your questions. There is some good info about flying with weapons and all that related stuff in Cascabel's Lock, Stock & Barrrel. There are a few related links in there but here is the pinned topic. http://pyracy.com/index.php?showtopic=13279 There really isn't a list per say, but if you go to the Mercury Crew subforum, there are good links and info there that William and I have been compiling in the How to get started for PIP thread. http://pyracy.com/index.php?showtopic=1460...mp;#entry354371 Key West is only a couple of miles long so the airport isn't that far. Many times there are enough people with cars, that if you let us know in advance, either someone can pick you up or a taxi isn't that expensive. Can't remember how much it cost me last year but it wasn't a lot. If you plan on camping, they generally let us set up Tues or Wed before the activities start. Not sure what changes might be made now that Harry is retiring. In any case, we will get all the details a little closer to the event. I would recommend setting up your camp at least on Wed or Thurs. and leaving on Mon. Please keep your questions coming. I'm sure there are others that might be thinking the same thing. Looking forward to meeting you at FTPF/PIP. You will have a wonderful time. You may go as one person but you will leave with an entire family.

Dear Harry, It's been a pleasure and an honor to work with you these past few years. You will be so very missed. They say when one door closes, another will open. I hope the new door you walk through will bring you nothing but happiness, love and prosperity. I'm so glad we will see you at Blackbeards. Fair Winds to you and the Mrs.

It was probably me Michael. I've made several purchases from hemp traders and I love this place. Good quality products, reasonable prices and great customer service. All of the materials for my seabags, ditty bags, lanyards, etc..............I think we have every size rope they carry by now. They have turned me into a hemp snob :) If you do a lot of rope work, once you go hemp there is no comparison to more readily available products. No matter where you get the hemp from. Anyway, I highly recommend Hemp Traders.
