  1. B)B)B) Rathr flattering, eh, RumbaRue? B)

I have a couple small wooden chests... one I bought from Hot Topics that is black with some pirate designs on it.. rather wicked.. the other I bought a LONG time ago when I was younger... young teeny bopper as I read "Treasure Island"... Looks like a treasure chest, just smaller....

I've a few jewelry boxes in silver or brass lined with velvet or some fine cloth... & have a good amount of jewelry accumulated... some coins (replicas)... I don't have gems yet.. will be working on that sometime soon .. hopefullly.

But yeah.. one can get ahold of some chests out there, any size, that can hold a fair sized little treasure.

Anyone else have their treasure made up? Adding on to it?

    B)

  2. AVAST! MORGAN! SHIPMATE! Happy Birthday to ya!

Aye, now... alas we can't celebrate your Bday in grand style with a huge party.. but ya know... we can make it a Mardi Gras like mix of your bday & your welcome home celebration next year when ya return from "the high seas". we have a deal?

Blackbeard's stock? Awww.. I prefer YOUR Private Stock.. has more spice to it!!

    3 cheers for Cap'n Morgan!

    HUZZAH!

    HUZZAH!

    HUZZAH!

Oooh, & PS Morgan... ::big kiss:: a Bday kiss for luck.

Now! :: shows up with a HUGE Tortuga Rum Cake! ::: what is a good round o' rum.. without the cake!? Hmm?

:::plops down a chest of treasure as Bday present:::

  3. Oh? Something of pyratical importance, Hawkyns, that we should be eager to view? You have me rather curious now.

My nephew wants me to take him to see it... so, perhaps I will tomorrow.

  4. Good signature bar. JI would adore it. B)

As to PotC Interactive.. :: Shrugs:: depends upon the manager of the theater I proposed the idea to. It's a supposed second rate theater... second rate my butt! DANG! It's a NICE theater! Better than the mainstream theater! & besides, he was already thinking about doing another run.. it's just a variety of other films he's dealing with. ::le sigh::

Would be fun to do that with SW... will NEVER see that around there... even tried getting a couple W fan clubs going here in the eastern Iowa area.. people here are in many cases worse than Will Turner! They are sticks! let alone sticks in the mud!

I wish ya luck, Grey. B)

  5. :) Yup... been mentioned here before.

Still working on getting one here in Cedar Rapids. Not all that easy as the majority of it goes through the manager of the theater... & the one here is rather busy... so he tells me.

But.. he's more than open to the idea & wants to do it. He was pondering about bringing PotC back for special showings. & the idea of doing this as a fundraiser was a fantastic idea (which is encouraged).

So... Yeah, sheck out on the site & see if there is one in the works near where you are. More than likely there is one in the works.

Tis a very cool way to have fun with PotC & more.

  6. MORGAN! Shipmate! How fantastic! Ahhhh... such fantastic & fun celebratin' we be doin'!!! :) Will have to celebrate more so when you return !!!

TONs of rum cake. I promise... I'll bring as much swag, booty, shine.. anything I can get m' hands upon fer the fantastic welcome home celebration ya want next year. :D

    Including tons o' RUM!

::Tosses Morgan a fine bottle o' rum; even wine:: They be from my private stock! :D A bloody grand pirate as yerself... deserves th' best! :D

    HUZZAH!

    HUZZAH!

    HUZZAH!

    :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY an' MUCH celebrating, mate! :D:D

    :D

  7. Ooooh.. of COURSE I still be celebrating! :D

I've unofficialy dubbed a new chocolate truffle at the Olde Fashion Chocolate Factory here in Cedar Rapids, IA.... why? well... with 2 types of Rum in it (Captain Morgan, Bacardi & dark rum) with dark chocolate.... I renamed it unofficially the Jack Sparrow! :D:D I've yet to try it... thought tried a few of the other devilish chocolate truffles.

AYE! We celebrate for a long time! Kinda like Mardi Gras. Party & celebrate until I say we stop. ::ponder wickedly::: which will be a LONG time from now... so.. Party on, mates! :D:D

Ya'll are makin' me blush. :D Thank ye so kindly.

An' especially t' Merry! HUZZAH! She's a bullet & a blast! Hoot & a riot! Merry... I need t' buy ya one of those.. ok, MORE than one... of those Tsunami "Jack Sparrow" truffles. :)

    :D

  8. RIGHTEOUS!

Ahhh, ye both deserve a barrel o' rum each!

An' Redbeard... I be gathering ye are a lookin' fer some "recruits"?

I may know a couple to send off in yer direction, m' friend.

    :(

  9. I like the subtle hints that PotC parodies Cutthroat Island. But, aye... Cutthroat was enjoyable Swashbuckling fun. Cheesy compared to some pirate movies.. but still adventurous. The characters could have been a bit more defined... but, oh, well. Again, still adventurous.

As to Muppet Treasure Island! Funny as hell! Trust me! I thought it was just plain crazy & silly before... but now... after seeing it in a historical, pyratcial, 18th c point of view... I just crack up! Ahhhhh, the memories! :(

& aye, Grey! I hear ya, mate! But... now.. I just have a difficult time seeing Jason as anything but daddy! :D

But those outfits he wore! Damn! ::le sigh:: I know I wanted Tavington's uniform.. but now do I REALLY want his Hook costumes! Down right utterly fancy! VERY foppish! VERY! But so very tasteful! Even Morgan himself would be envious of that attire.... or even Rackham... maybe Sparrow or Silver. :: shrugs::

Treasure Planet is rather good as well! I just LOVE the feline Captain Ameila! Hello! She best it with Sparrow & even Barbossa! Love her humor in the 1st 5 minutes of her appearance in the film. Fantastic!

Hey... we are on a roll here with Pirate films! MORE! MORE I SAY!

Of course I'm greedy for more, I'm a pirate, damnit! :(

    :(

  10. ::Genteel curtsy:: Thank ye kindly, gentlemen.

 I wish I were 21, gents. T'was my 30th bday. Rather harsh day... but .. hopefully in due time, I be making that up. Just means that we celebrate heartily all year long!

An' as to the rum... ahhh, had a fine feast Saturday night at Red Lobster... with a Bahama Mama.. heavy on the rum, mind you!

An' Morgan... ::shakes a sword at ya:: Ya come back next year... we'll celebrate in grand pyratical style... gaow-roon-teed!

Merry gets all the rum her deathly blackheart desires. From my private stock! :) Now... mind ya'll... I've been devilish enough to keep Barbossa from this... & a few of these bottles here be from Barbossa's private stock! ::taps side of nose:: Hehehe... aye, he'd skin me alive if he knew I was back in his rum & wine again. ::looks at Jack; finger to lips:: Shhhhh.... I'll share with the crew of the Pearl as well as those in Tortugas (your forum). An' not to worry... I'll have it stocked again before he knows it be gone. B)

    Thanks all...

    B)

  11. Dearest... be all yours. ::hands ya the Godiva:: I still want to see the .... footage, film, whatever it be.

That sound better, Scupper? You dive Merry ... perhaps twice or more... chocolate covered cherries... IF I see you on the little screen. THAT be the treasure I be after, mate.

  12. That & a viewing of that wonderful performance... & you have yourself a deal! Again, with Merry's permission. Scarey.. but funny. Rather curious to see it more likely.

Godiva chocolate it is. I leave the caramel reserved for Barbossa himself. Or maybe some jewels like diamonds, rubies, etc...

  13. Even in this weaken condition I am in at current.... I say we raid his private stockpile of rum & wine again!:lol: We always fill it back up ...

Robert... I agree with ya there, mate. Again, I like Jack.. interesting character. But ... ::Shrugs painfully::

Yeah.... good point. There were a few pirates who advanced due to voting off & mutiny. Rackham for one.

Plus.... as someone mentioned on a email chat list months ago.... Barbossa is the best villian since Darth Vader!

  14. :P My apologies, Scupper, shipmate. I didn't see it. No cable, not really time to watch TV anyway... & even if I did have cable would never have been able to record it. :P I swear it, all... I be cursed! :P

Autographs for a modest fee, eh? :P:P Dare I ask WHAT that "Modest fee" be?

    :P

  15. Oh, Jack is a fun character, don't get me wrong. I don't hate, loate or despise Sparrow. I admire Depp for his creativity. Just that with Sparrow... he's too boyish. So much the kid at heart. Granted I am as well. But when it comes to Barbossa, .. I don't entirely see him as a "business man". He's alike a penny... you have a character with 2 sides... see one side, but can't see the other in which makes it mysterious & intreguing. I guess Sparrow is that way as well. But ... Barbossa seems more intreguing to me than Sparrow. Besides... I'm not one to go with a norm.... following the thousands of teeny-bopper girls who are drooling over 40 yr old Depp's Sparrow or young cub Bloom's Turner. Barbossa my 1st choice of all the characters. I do fancy the gents of the Navy: Norrington, Gillette, Groves, etc. Ahhhh.... military men in breeches. ::le sigh:: Especially Groves... he's very dashing.

::le sigh:: but... again back to Barbossa.... give me Barbossa any day. It's not that I have that rescue complex to free the cursed man. LOL, damn, he has his own ways of life! He just wants to be normal... feel again, eat, drink... & be merry... if not have a few Marys! Barbossa just grabbed my attention for being an authority figure... who can hold his own... intelligence with taste... with adventure & cunning. Hell... I don't want to rescue him... he can rescue me! Get me out of podunk central here! Before the corn grows high to block me in!!

::le sigh:: :D Yeesss.... I adore his attire. Very fine. My compliments to the master on that mix of a man.

As to Elizabeth... :D:lol::lol: Hence why I say, I'm not the only one here, when Elizabeth & Barbossa make a rather good match. Shoot... she could be his protege & pass with flying colors! LOL, kinda alike myself; so intregued by pirates at a young age like her, reading about them, singing their songs... then grow up,... again, grow up... attempt to.. but flung back into the adventure of piracy!

::tosses Royaliste a bottle of rum:: mate, ya deserve that. I agree with ya there, whole heartedly.

But, all in all... all characters are enjoyable in their own right. JAck a good pirate.. & a good man. But ... for those of us who don't just want to run with the pack of good man, good pirate... we have the pick of Barbossa... wicked man & damn good pirate!

  16.

The old sea dogs are far more attractive than the young upstarts & lads who are just getting their sea legs. :)

I've seen more girls, teeny-boppers & wanna be mary sues that have NO seafaring romantisim in them not knowledge of the sea at all who adore & worship Sparrow... would love to be his single one & only lover :: gags::

When it's us pirate women who prefer Barbossa most for his cunning, wit, wickedness, appearance, & dear God! Look at that TREASURE! After all he had the Black Pearl... he pretty much was all a pirate captain could be & was!

  17. The appeal to us Ladies is different than men.. in more than one way.

Barbossa is the essense of a pirate captain. His physical appeal is just amazing with the mix of his whole appeal.

LOL, aye, Zorg. There be hope for you yet! :) It's all the look as well as the personality. The whole treasure...or bottle o' rum!

So, yes... ::le sigh; swoon:: I look forward to if & when Barbossa returns to PotC. It just breaks my heart to see him shot by Jack, die... then laying there motionless upon the mound of gold. Dear God those eyes.... so sad.

  18. I agree with ya, Zorg. I've seen some authentic pistols on display that were excavated from Camden & Cowpens as well as Guilford Courthouse & Yorktown. Some are that size.

Another part that leads me to believe Barbossa was familiar with cavalry life.

The pistol is rather unique, for sure.

  19.:huh: :indicates to Christine's reply::: aye, what she said. It's actually a right good name. Finding the meaning of it.... Hector is Greek meaning "Holding Fast". Kinda interesting they chose that name.

There is always an excuse to see PotC! :) Shoot, you can have your own little PotC Interactive party if ya like with a few friends or pirates.

    PotC Interactive

The commentaries are rather good. Some interesting stories & info.

Not much in the extras of Rush as Barbossa. ::le sigh::

Oh, well. My friend still hopes they will put out a super collector's edition with more of the deleted scenes & other stuff. She believes it to be about 4 DVDs worth of stuff. I say BRING IT ON!

But.. more Barbossa would be great. :) Eager for what they will put out with the toys. I know I will DEFINITELY buy the little Barbossa action figure! :):huh: :::HUGE grin:::

  20.:huh: No comment there, mate! But the pistol is right nice. :):huh::huh::huh:

As to the lock... ::: shakes head:: nope. The one the Track of the Wolf, inc looked different.

I could be mistaken about the name.

::le sigh:: just eager to get this pistol.

Propmaster of PotC I believe was "Chuck" Stewart.

As to who made the pistol originally... : Shrugs:: But, it's not the first time this pistol has been used. It was used in "Cutthroat Island" by Dawg Brown.

  21. :huh::huh:

Robert! For that, mate.. I'll buy ya a WHOLE barrel o' rum! Mind you, we sneak it from Barbossa's private stock, he'd be a bit upset. We've already had to replenish his stock 5 times. ::Evil grinz::

    Ahhhh...Yes... Barbossa & Sparrow.

Well.. first off, Barbossa was portrayed by the very talented & intreging Actor Geoffrey Rush. Amazing gent. Would LOVE to hear more of the history he created for Hector Barbossa.

Another is... though, Barbossa may have started it when he mutinied against Jack. Marooned him... twice... & worse thing to EVER do to Jack is to take his ship. Though a few of us lasses think the Black Pearl should stay with Barbossa. :)

So, Jack perhaps thought it right & fair that he could backstab Barbossa like this. Eye for an eye type of situation.

But... again, as I said, I'm sure there are several out there who agree with myself.. I know Lady Christine does :::waves to her:: .... when we say Barbossa makes a far better pirate than Jack. Barbossa seems to be a combination of Teach, Kidd, Morgan, Roberts, Tew, etc. Even the Barbarossa brothers!

I'd sail with Barbossa anyday over Sparrow! ::toasts with wine:::

::Looks at Capt'n Jack Sparrow(he knows who he is):: No offence mate. We still love ya. But we adore Barbossa.
