  1. Anyone who wants to do a demo in or around the Hide please feel free. Just let me know so that things can be coordinated between all who are interested.

I encourage anyone who wants to use the fire at the Hide for a cooking demonstration to please feel free to do so. Last year Lady Constance made breads over the fire and it was a wonderful treat.

We can also have someone "sell" their wares, hawkers with baskets and fake coin and perhaps giving the school children a taste.

  2. How did I miss the post TWO days ago from William. I am saddened to hear that you will not be attending. I was looking forward to seeing you again and meeting your lovely lady. I miss you already.

  3. We be but 'umble pyrates, Miss...

Readin' and writin', well those be things for those above us...

Goode Quartermaster James I would think that one of your station must requires that you read and write, how else keep you the books?

To those of you who have uneducated characters I would suggest that you could "hire" someone to write for you or perhaps a friend or mate could write for you. This would make it so that you could participate and remain illiterate. Murin "Silkie" McDonough writes to her cousin Fionn who sails on the crew of the Archangel. Since Fionn can neither read or write they must rely on better educated crew mates to facilitate their communication.

  4. I would like to "celebrate" with my dear pub friends! Not only have I accepted an invitation from Stinky to take on the role of moderator he has also named a sub-forum after me! That's kind of cool! Let's see if I can do the job of moderator.

  5. William ...we had bacon for breakfast ...well, I bought bacon for breakfast on Saturday but by the time I got up there was none left. We also had the moment of silence. It is difficult to get pirates to do anything but ...well pirating. lol

  6. I find that wearing my great grandmothers tortus shell comb under my cap makes keeping the hat on easier. It gives it something extra to push against won the back of the head when the hat is tied around the back Now if you can have a comb AND a bun you should no issues (don't ask me how to accomplish that). The cap also gives you something to pin the hat to.

I too still have an issue keeping the hat on in the wind.
