i will be there either as an official vendor or just as a "well armed" participant within the encampment along with josh the scourge m' gunner's mate (son) several folks have spoken to me for sharing accomodations ...and as far as i know i will have plenty of room will also be bringing some cooking equipment pots and dutch ovens etc. and at least a dozen candle lanterns w/candles ...and a camp shower system :)

it would truly be of great assistance for anyone posting suggestions to post links to lyrics or recordings of the songs you would like to contribute high barbary what do we do with a drunken sailor the golden vanity hanging johnny haul away joe leave her johnny leave her these are all good songs and most are close to period and decent songs for the encampment and the street corners etc.

it will also depend on the fibre content of the garment if it is synthetic it will be extremely difficult to dye as there pigments are usually fused directly into the fibres when it is produced but if it's cotton silk linnen it should do fine with the natural dyes

and those are just for starters ....i have actually proved it isn't hard to be in two places ar once ....if you plan it extremely well went sailing once and had witnesses that i left the chesapeake out into the atlantic ...funny thing 2 hours later there was someone who looked alot like me in pittsburgh delivering a message to a fellow who molested children ......but a few hours later i was witnessed coming back to the harbour in st. michaels maryland onboard the same schooner i had left on ....

i never said you had to place it ... things like that just seem to happen to those sort of people ............ and alibis are easy to construct ....you /me a crowded hotel bar 1000 miles away 150-200 witnesses

they usually get the message with a small incendiary device under the car which is simple to make with sugar, battery acid, and powdered magnesium..... on or near the fuel line or gastank trip the line placed there in the wee hours of the night ........ and have someone call his house and let the f#cker see his own car blow up in his driveway ...let him know it could have just as easily been with him in it ....

hmmmmi didn't see the one about sculpting c4 into busts of political leaders (as in "comander in chief") or using prima-cord to do macreme` both of which i "knew" occured ....or rigging trip wires under toiletseat lids in the officer's head ...and always remember it isn't good to get caught in parked car with the admiral's 16 year old daughter at 2:30 am sunday morning

had the same sort of thing the other day buying a jug o' milk ...price $3.26 i handed the clerk $10.26 ....she couldn't figure the change even when the total change came up on the register why you may ask??? because she didn't have any $5 in the register to add to the 2 singles in her hand from the slot in the drawer that was overflowing with singles ....she literally had to call the manager to tell her how to solve the problem even after i had said i didn't mind it all in ones or hell even quarters .....obviously a product of selective breeding ....the offspring of two parents who stayed up all night studying to take the pregnacy test -they tossed the sticks and pissed on the box

you should see what a bit o' modeling clay with a small piece of copper tubing with a couple of wires linked to the interieor light switch taped inside a refridgerator does to ones confidence level with a small note to warn him to stop making unwanted contacts ...but don't mention any names or a note 8 slices down in a loaf of bread telling him it's so easy to hunt him if we choose to ....or flowers sent to him at his worksite with r.i.p. condolences ....or random people on the street walking up and telling him he looks like death warmed over and asking if he's feeling alright ...... :angry:

jim i have 20-30 songs with lyrics and recordings of; that i will send to you ...give me a few days to try to put them together and dig out the recordings and put to cd ...and i hope that the "professionals" understand that we're not trying to upstage them, just add to the atmosphere of the entertainment around the encampment and the evening pubs as singing was a common form of community activity to wile away the long hours.

but by going the legal route you at least can have access to who the hell he is and where we can find him ............ if you catch my drift (wink wink nudge nudge know what i mean ).........i have counter-stalked on several occasions and frightened the living hell out of some stupid bastard who feels invincible ....because he never knows when it's coming or who to watch out for ....especially if it's tactically planned .....parts can be a bit on the darkside of the law but if it's terror you want to instill in some poor bastard who doesn't know when to stop ..... like send him photographs of himself at his home and job with crosshairs superimposed over the photo ....go that route and then leave it to your friends

jim m' lad i totally agree with what you have outlined ...it sounds a fair mission and i think that perhaps i will pm you some shanty links that might be of interest also i would be willing to produce 400-500+ paper cartridges that could be pre-loaded with measured loads and marked for either musket/blunderbuss or pistols and since my intent is to be there as a vendor selling period weapons i'm not sure how much of the others duties i could provide ...but i'm more than willing to offer as much assistance as possible

royaliste, the lad and i and our ladies will be there in erie, pa do you plan on docking or will this just be a harbour rendevous with the other ships i would love meeting you and seeing the ship we try to get up to the niagara every few months so it would be a grand tyme to meet and greet ye and the crewe callenish and josh the scourge
